Interesting, and from Wiki "small vertebrates like lizards, field voles, small mammals, and small birds occasionally taken "
I asked because we have a few pheasants that have escaped the local shoots and settled in. They've even raised young and I've never really seen them eat anything the size of a snake or vole.
The magpies on the other hand...
Is there any research as to how many snakes and lizards released pheasants will eat?
I would have thought, down here at least, it would be the increase in buzzards etc that would impact the adder population more.
Yes Buzzards also a significant factor...but then again their increased numbers can be linked to pheasant shoots

Call for ecological impact assessment of huge numbers of non-native gamebirds... -

At the National scale the release of 47+million non native pheasants are likely a factor along with the normal loss of habitat, habitat and population fragmentation and disturbance issues...

Thanks for the replies - it's as I thought ?

You will need to pay VAT on it unless you are VAT registered here. You simply supply your VAT number at the point of purchase and they will not charge you VAT at the point of sale.
If Brexit happens, god only knows. You'll probably need to trade your first born and a night with your wife.
Thanks for the reply. So to clarify if I pay VAT it will be to the German company and then won't have anything further to pay once it hits the UK?

Not sure where to post this query, but thought here..
I'm looking to buy a piece of firewood processing machinery from Germany (for personal use not business) and trying to work out whether I'll need to pay any vat or import tax etc? I'm basing this query on the fact we are still in the EU as appreciate will differ if we are not.
