  1. I met Jon in flesh this week, he saved us a day of ringing up a fairish Oak stem in a country lane. A 2 day job suddenly became a 1 day job thanks to Jon and his loader. We really appreciate your help you are a legend!
  2. Thanks for that I'll try Ian at Land Logic. Ollie I have to cut a load of 50mmx30mm battens out of some Oak and some 100x 100m posts out of some cedar, your Lucas mill would be good for that wouldn't it? Let me know your rates please. We are taking the old black Pop down next month, the Parish council are losing sleep over it ever since they had a Picus done a while ago. Its had all kinds of fungi on it over the last few years. We are taking down to to approx 2.5m just big enough to still qualify as a tree on the tree register. Thanks for your help Jim
  3. We could do with a mill (bandsaw) in for a day at Cannington. Would anyone be interested or know of anyone who would? We have a chainsaw mill and no time, would rather pay a mobile bandsaw for a days work and have it done. Thanks Jim
  4. We are doing a job at the EDF offices in Plymouth, just off the A38. There will be quite a bit of cord probably 3-4 transit loads mostly Sycamore and Oak but a few other hardwoods too. We would love to shift it locally, ideally picked up but would be grateful for just a home for it for us to drop it off. Also there will be few van loads of chip looking for a home.   7. We are a growing business near Bridgwater, Somerset. We are looking to recruit a replacement assistant manager. (Big shoes to Fill) The ideal candidate will be experienced in a broad range within the arb/forestry industry , be efficient on the ground and with paperwork as well as a desire to succeed, improve and perfect. Driving license essential, Gaps in training can be filled but would expect a CS unit up to 41. Have a good working knowledge of current british standards and industry best practice. Above all else a good team player with a sense of humour. The position will be salaried £23400-£26000 ( dependant on candidate) + profit share.   10. Has anyone got or know anybody who hires out shredders in the Somerset area or nearby? Wheeled machine will do, tracked machine would be better. Nothing to big need to be able to pick up with a van or 4x4. Any leads gratefully received.
