hi all had my ms261 for a year now what do i need to do to service it when i have used it i give it a clean etc check air filter any help would be great as this is my first stihl befor this purchess i had chuk away saws

had this chain saw for a year now I have cut a lot of trees dowm and was woundering should i take it back to the stihl dealership to get it service I allways strip it down clean it check air filter will it be money well spent or a waste of time

I sharpen my chain at 30degrees my fathers says that it should be 35 degrees who is right

hi what type of oil do people use I have used new engine oil could you use vegetable oil to lube your chain as it is better for the enviroment

well what i think is that you have one pair of feet look after them money should not come into it i have lost a finger many years ago so i fell you protect your self as much as you can when they are gone due to a accident they will not grow back
