  2. Thanks for the info! Also, judging by what I've heard about the new MS201, I would be inclined to go for the Husky. Would you agree?
  3. Hi all. I've been in the game for a while now and was thinking of buying my first top handle saw, and was thinking either of the above. Has anyone had experience with both that could give me some pointers, or even if anyone could recommend a model for their advantaged. Cheers!
  4. Where on earth is that plane tree! I must go to see it!

good for bigger trees, with large limbwalks and long ascents. no point in anything smaller as it just gets too fiddly.
  6. if there's a rock climbing centre/shop near you have a venture in, they do pretty small helmets. then you just need to add ear muffs and visor
  7. if not rigidoporus, trametes gibbosa maybe?

  9. Hi all I'm just wondering if there are any telescopic saw/hook poles on the market, that retract to a small size for climbing use. I'm in the middle of a contract deadwooding Lime trees, with extensive epicormic growth all the way up. So somthing small enough to not get caught up, but can reach long enough to get tiny bits on the end of branches Anyone got any insight? Thanks in advance!
  10. got any pic of buds on an older branch?
  11. Where's the blue hitchclimber pully from? All I can find is red ones!!

  13. Hi all, I posted on here a while back about my rope being extremely twisted and was after some remediations. I tried a few ideas like walking it out-streched though grass, running it a few times backward and forward through a cambium saver, but nothing worked. I've been working with it all twisted for a while now and I've got to a point where I get too pissed off limbing with it everyday! Cheers fellas
  14. are you self employed, or looking for full time employment? either way I would recommend ringing a load of companies in the yellow pages (i know there's a lot in northampton cause I'm from there too). once you've been working for a couple of people for a while, you start getting more contacts of people in the trade and then more work can build up.
  15. jeeeesus, can't believe that's an Elder!!!
