  1. I've been looking at investing in some new type A trousers. I'll be climbing and everything in them, probably sleeping in them if they're nice enough. Whatever I get needs to be cool enough to wear in 45°c + temperature and able to deal with everyday wear and tear. Just wondered if anyone could suggest the best pair to get. I've had my eye on some of the newish stein ones, anyone got a pair? Cheers As always keep those eyes up and stay safe Tam
  2. Considering I'm only 20 I think I should be OK haha Its just a tad upsetting when you're 20 and you're already out of your peak physical fitness haha Cheers guys, deffinately helped
  3. Recently (much to my horror) if discovered I've gained a noticeable amount of weight, mainly due to he fact that mc Donalds is relatively cheap and easy. My housemate (who is also an arborist) and myself have decided to go on a fairly harsh diet Just wondered if you guys could point us in the direction of a good diet that will still give us enough energy to work all day or if you had any experiences like ours and could give us some tips besides "don't go to maccers" Cheers guys and as always cut safe
  4. I've never used SRT and to be honest I don't have intention to switch to it in the near future. Just one of those things I have no interest in, I like my drt and I'm comfortable with it, plus I can't be bothered with using a throw line or climbing to the top to attach it when I might only be up there for twenty minutes. I can understand why people use SRT though.
  5. Forgot to mention guys I only use DRT, SRT just isn't really suitable. Jut after something to make life easier and/or more fun
  6. Yeah sorry but I don't think I explained that I meant 'relatively' and in comparison to what I've been brought up on. But the comparative lack of health and safety to the UK and the 'bad habits' some guys have are what scare me but I'm not trying to bad mouth the industry at all, infact I promote it, never worked with better lads.I've already convinced more friends from the UK to come over I love it that much. Sorry if I offended you.
  7. Recently I've moved down under. I'm working on the power lines in south Australia, its dangerous, very physically demanding, warm as hell, unsafe, terrifying, risky and I LOVE IT!!!! I'm looking to invest in some new kit to make life a little easier where I can because its hard enough as it is. I was eyeing up a spiderjack. Just wondered if anyone knew of any similar gizmos or anything like that, that is coming out in the near future that I should wait for or anything that's better? Cheers guys and gals, as always, climb safe and keep an eye looking up

  19. im looking into investing in a new ground saw because i'm finally in the position where its a viable idea, only problem is im a tad spoilt for choice i want to buy something new and shiney so i have no problems in the near future ive been looking at the new husky 560xp, ive heard really good things about them, whats the biggest bar people have ran them on? ive also looked at the stihl ms362 and ms441, is it worth paying that bit for an extra 5"? im mainly going to use an 18" bar on them anyway. what saws do people suggest?
  20. i snapped the ACL in my left knee and did a load of other damage too i tried wearing an ACL brace that i wear while skating etc but it just got really sweaty with the combination of the trousers try the think neoprane knee supports, you can pick up nice ones at sports direct and places like that
