  1. The friction hitch is a cheap and relatively safe method to climb on. For those reasons alone I am doubtful we will see it replaced.
  2. Hi Rob, Have you looked at this website ? https://www.airbnb.co.uk/ Its a mix of people that both run bnb's and have a spare room to rent for a short while. I used this site over the summer as we had a spare room and were close to the Olympics. It was a great way for us to meet people and we were charging 1/3 the price of the local hotel! I would fully recommend it to anyone that is looking for a cheap way to see a city, as well as meeting someone new in the process!
  3. Have you tried calling around all the big company's in London? City Surban, Gristwood and Toms, Bartlett Tree Experts. I know they are always looking for climbers.
  4. Timberwolf jacket arrived today. Thanks again Steve for all your hard work in organising this!
  5. What kind of Job would you like to be doing in london?
  6. Cheers steve, look forward to seeing the full results tomorrow!
  7. Thanks dan for doing that, I think I got something, just have to wait and see now.
  8. Finally did it. Been following this website for over a year now, thought I might give something back after all that I have learnt.
  9. The best one I came a cross was one in a pub, that linked you to their survey online where you could win a bottle of wine! Didn't get the wine tho!

Hi Chris. Good luck with it, my 2 cents worth would be to stop and just check everything over that last time before you climb on it. One of the guys I did mine with nearly failed because of a stupid mistake that he spotted just before he started to climb. The assessor on my course was fairly laid back about the whole thing, and said that as long as we are making progress up the tree in a timely manor he wont fail us. And he was true to his word! Good Luck!
  11. Depends who you work for. I know a guy who is on the books for a company and is on around 120 per day. It all depends on what you are like, and what the company is willing to pay.
  12. Ive had a pair of type C's for 3 months now. Not really done anything too taxing in them, but they are holding up o.k.
