  4. Not for the particular chart, I have similar one, with heat outputs (numbers).
  5. I know, these scientists nowadays... what do they know?! They do some lab tests, calculate heat output per cord, take ease of spliting, time of drying and all other key factors into equation. And come up with these silly charts... My neighbour knows better for sure, because he was told by his neighbours auntie who tried various logs herself

  7. Why is that? anything misleading?
  8. alder is good for burning, it grows fast, burns evenly when dry, the problem is it produces very little heat and it burns waaaay too fast. But I guess it is ok to mix it with some proper hardwood
  9. Lime (Tilia) - poor quality firewood, not as bad as poplar or alder but still waste of space
  10. The quality of the following firewood is based upon various characteristics such as its speed of burn, heat given off, tendency to spark (spit), ease of splitting, time required to season, etc.
  11. thanks, I googled these wholesalers they are able to put custom logo aswell, price range £2-3 a piece, but still wonder what size is most suitable for the job. dan

  14. Our UK office is in London, but the production line is based in Lithuania, Eastern Europe for I guess an obvious reason btw, don't get me wrong- I have nothing against Toyota whatsoever
