Yes there are benefits of a heavy duty air filter on a proffesional saw its one of the hardest working parts on a saw running full tilt cutting fast with wood chips and dust only inches away , so the better the filter the better the air flow and it's easy to clean :thumbup: As for the muffler on these saws there isn't a Kat in this one its a SLR exhaust Which is the old 7900 muffler re modelled to meet current EPA emissions They dropped the top rpm Ps-7900 13,500 Ps-7910 12,800 But claim max power is @ 10,000rpm So if you do put a 7910 or 7901 muffler on please re-tune accordingly to compensate :thumbup:

Hello Big J there are 4 saws in that category apart from the 5105 and come in cheaper Ps-420sc 42cc light and lively Ps-460c 46 cc same as 5105 but heavier Ps-500c. 50cc. Same as 5105 but heavier 115 is 52cc and is lighter than 5105 but still pro range The 115 is the one I would go for for firewood it's a great all rounder from 13" - 20" Cheers

Hello jonathon that is the dolmar PS-7910H full wrap , HD filter ,west coast felling dogs , large drive sprocket a beautiful 28" sugihara bar full chisel chain A customer collected it last Thursday he was grinning like a Cheshire cat :thumbup:

Hello all the dolmar chainsaws start with PS and there are smaller home owner saws semi pro and the pro range The two saws you mentioned are from the pro range but sadly the PS-6410 is no longer in production it was replaced with the PS-6100 you mentioned which is the current production 60cc saw they produce :thumbup:
