  1. Im happy to hear that you are working on a bonafide tether for the wrench. Its only half complete without it. I think it needs a sprung connection to scoop the wrench into semi engaged mode and of course must not have a collapsing attachment - karabiner - so fixe' and hitch climber's must be catered for. Please keep focusing on this Kevin (and not new tools yet!!)

Can't help feeling that's an impossible task. I've had 3 different tethers in my system already....! I think that in the same way we supply the hitch cord, the tether can't form part of the wrench package either and needs to come from the user....:001_smile:

  2. Cheers si.

Who are they playing? We had a couple of season tickets a few years ago and a box in the south stand for a couple of games, we did the pfs centre at the back in the council depot. They were having a particularly dreadful season that year!

  6. So for those of us not in the UK, someone want to expand a little?

    Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

The programme title is very descriptive.

It's basically a series of hour long 'fly on s***' documentaries following 'gypsy way of life', mostly ramming down the throats of viewers tragic enough to watch it how extravagant one's life can be if your income is principally in cash, you keep your accounts in a very tax efficient manner and the law is not able to touch you. Audi RS5 anyone?

I should write synopses for Sky! :laugh1:

  7. Anyway i have enjoyed this discussion and hope my opinions have caused no offence as that really wasn't my intention, if anyone took any of my comments personally i am sorry for this, Great forum , thanks Sean.

I think anyone who reads too much into things which are posted on a forum needs to chill out a bit! :laugh1:

Debate and sharing opinion is good, it's how we learn..... :thumbup1:

    So with that in mind.....

I hope you learned something! :001_tt2::lol::lol:

  8. It happens.

Mate bought a Freelander last week, pre-reg, 3k on the clock. Day after it went back, back windows not working.

They kept it, ecu fault. Had it back a couple of days later, out in it, overheated and broke down.

Main dealer said they'd swap it. He phoned me yesterday to say they were offering him a top of the range sd4 one with 20k and an extra warranty. I told him to take it.

He phoned me this afternoon. Broken down again.

Don't have the one which had managed 20k but took another like the first one, a td4 s, and it broke down in Hereford, same problem.

Suggested he go back and get the one which obviously works.

Or stop driving because he's obviously too hard on cars!

  9. Labour always bugger up the economy, always. Believing social ills can be fixed by throwing money at them for starters. Masters of the er-nitiative but neglecting the maintenance...

Absolutely right. Even after all these years they still seem incapable of following the most basic arithmetic, that income needs to exceed expenditure if they're ever going to balance the books..... :001_rolleyes:

  10. As I remember it, when I first got my mortgage in 1992, I was allowed only 2.5 times my annual income. Given the subject title of this thread, please remind the boys and girls who was no longer in power by this time and therefore had nothing to do with your comment here? :001_smile:

And when I finally got round to buying a house in 2005 I was allowed 4 times (although it may even have been 6?)

But that was for the same reason that in 1994 my parents bought the farm for £280k, but 10 years later, and after 7 years of 'the prudent chancellor' I couldn't buy half what they did even for twice as much.....:001_rolleyes:

  11. I do 1,true 2, not at all, IMHO working class people have been conned into thinking they are equal to the higher classes with checkout girls having new cars on finance ect, all very well till the tory economy went tits up, then see who they protect/help Bankers/Rich & stuff little working class girl after all she's only working class, her only crime was that she was so nieve/uneducated that she believed they were on her side!

Ludicrous levels of personal debt were a labour phenomenon, and not in the watered down Tory way, but in the good old fashioned socialist way of entitlement.

When all is said and done though, you can blame Thatcher and the Tories, or labour or your mother, as much as you like, but we chose that path as individuals.

If we stretch our personal finances we do so of our own free will, not because anyone tells us to or 'because we think we're upper class' (for what it's worth, generally the upper classes don't have a pot to piss in, never mind a new car!)

Placing responsibility onto the state for our own mistakes is ridiculous and a typically left wing attitude, it was this attitude that saw so many sitting on their hands waiting to be saved. No be can live your life for you.....:001_smile:

  12. don't believe all the bullshit you read, sensationalist:0 crap fed to the uneducated masses:001_tt2:

By 'uneducated masses' do you mean 'working class'.....?

Because if you do that's 1, quite harsh, and 2, quite contradictory.... :001_huh::laugh1:
