  1. Cheers for all the replies guys, I know what you mean Ryan I don't like my system uneven either. I'm currently using a homemade stein cutaway with 2layers of shrink on it, which I have girth hitched onto a beaner around the hitchclimber. It's a real ball bag to get on though and that's why I was considering changing up.

Worcswuss how do you find the pinto? Your setup looks pretty much perfect to me. Although can you still use that system to climb on ddrt by adding a beaner to it and attaching it to your becket?

I love it, think I've got it about spot on now, bar some minor tweaking to the ascenders.

I don't bother switched to ddrt with this system, if I need mechanical advantage in work I run the tail through a revolver clipped into the croll previously used for ascent...

  2. Thanks si for a great day and can't wait until the next date!

Thanks Roy, was a pleasure and great to meet you. I'll pass on your thanks to the old man. Give me a bell Friday, if Niki's working we can always sit in the garden if it's nice and have a couple :thumbup1:

  3. The wrench set up was awesome, really dialed. Fell in love with the SJ though, even on New england hi vi. was awesome...

Even without taking into account the fact that you've only been climbing a short time, you were really motoring on the SJ, looked really comfy on it, great to watch. When you think you've only been at it a year it was something else!

All I could achieve on the SJ was freefalling onto my arse.... :001_rolleyes::biggrin:

Capel was not good...:( so made up for it at my friends 40th party tonight:beer:

That's a shame. Weather was alright down there though!
