  1. Are you able to do a cs30 course on its own rather than doing the the cs31 with it? To my knowledge cs30 is about maintenance and crosscutting and cs 31 is about felling small trees (this may be wrong); I dont really want to fell trees I just want to saw logs up on other peoples land which you need a certificate for.
  2. I am currently doing a lantra chainsaw course, but my certificate expires in five years time, do i have to redo the whole course or just apply for a new one?

  5. well there is a lot of choice but no definate answer of which is fastest, i think it must be a grey area where no one really knows and there is a lot of trial and error!! there is quite a lot of ash in my area which thrives well.

  10. not much, I'm more of a chainsaw massacre man!!! we had a fir plantation of about 14 acres, planted about 70 years ago and it has just been clear felled and i was going to replant to provide firewood for myself.
