  1. If its the same layout as the 560/562xp did they update the cases with an extra bolt across the area below the exhaust? My own 560xp and 562xp have been faultless running on Aspen, but my 550xp bogs just coming on the throttle, my local deal did a software update but made now difference and said mine was pretty much like all the others???
  2. If you want a 562XP there are a few seller in the EU that ship to UK.
  3. Its certainly not as easy as using a round fill but the limited experience i have with it, if you tighten the chain (to help stop lateral movement) and have the bar help firmly, with vise (in the workshop) or in a shallow cut into a stump and file out from the tooth same as a round file it works real good. The double bevel file works really well.Everyday is a school day.
  4. A short length on nylon rope into the plug hole and a nut gun never failed me.

    Square Oregon 562xp
  6. Pete i have only just started playing with it, always round filed since i was a kid. What i have found is getting the best file is more than half the battle. I got some Bacho double bevel files sent over and these are far far better than the hexagon ones you can get over here.
  7. I have always run in the past either Stihl RS or Oregon Full Chisel, a friend sent me some square ground chain over to have a play with. It cuts way more hungry than the Oregon and Stihl but does dull quicker. Its all part of my quest for a lightweight flexible setup. Running it as a skip tooth setup on lightweight Oregon bar mounted on my 562xp. Must say its pretty dam good. Ran it a few weeks ago on a 576xp and it just didn't slow down.
  8. Its not filed with a round file, its a square ground chain, which you dont want a "hook" on.
  9. I use it in all my saws MS 241/261/362/660 and they all run noticeably better/sharper. I don't cut wood everyday and the big saw Sthil 660 doesn't come out every week maybe once every couple of months, with Aspen i don't need to drain it, just pick it up and use it. The other plus is the reduced fumes so from a health point of view it has got to be worth using.
  10. Have you priced up Dealer parts lately? My local dealer has realised they are missing a trick and lowered their prices in a pretty big way, i would normally do ALL my vehicle maintenance but at the prices they charge it isn't worth cracking the big red box open.I run a 04 Hilux double cab VX. I.E Genuine Toyota Discs and pads fitted inc vat £240!! Genuine Toyota Rear prop joint (Hardy Spicer) £41 inc vat (not the cheap shite that Milner off road sell) Toyota Air and oil filter + 7lts of semi synthetic oil £51 inc Not bad prices. Apart from the fronts discs + pads and the UJ that is all the truck has needed in 60,000 miles except services every 6K. It has now done 142K and drives like a new motor, but gets used every single day on and off road as a shooting/stalking/logging motor. My last Hilux did 285K before it threw a leg out of bed!!
  11. What alcohol content is the screen wash? It may need extra lube useing that type of fuel:thumbup1:
  12. This will sort it. MSA 160 C-BQ - Innovative new cordless chain saw
  13. The salmon looks fantastic, what sort of money do you charge for something like that?
