  1. We just did a chestnut removal within Cheshire east. Had to have a permit to be on the carriage way and Amberon for traffic management. I think ours was around £400. It all depends on the road width, visibility, type of road and traffic flow that determines the required traffic management. The council/highways will specify what’s needed. The good thing with having someone else responsible for traffic control (and pedestrians) is if shit hits the fan it’s on them.

  5. Unless it’s already sold I saw that the other day but I think it’s a ringer. The seller had zero feedback, only been on eBay since 2018, just didn’t sit right with me. I have just bought a 361 from eBay today from e-lumberman for £695 delivered brand spanker. I would be an owner of a 560xpg by now if the dealer hadn’t dropped the shell they’re on back order for a month.
  6. That’s exactly what I did. 80% of my work is contracting. I started off with a Land Rover and tw150, climbing and rigging kit, full range of saws, brushcutters, mowers etc. Best thing is contact local tree surgeons and see if your services would be required. I had the advantage of already knowing a few people who worked on their own and usually trailered waste away. It’s the chipper people want, and it’s even more useful if you can climb and ground for someone if necessary. I don’t advertise chipper hire because I don’t chip garden shyte unless I made it because homeowners etc will expect it to chip anything including the kitchen sink. I always go with my kit.
  7. I love mine, I ran it over with a 3t machine a while ago, fitted a new handle and fuel tank and back running!! I’ve fitted the newer type filter and housing, adjusted carb to suit and it is unstoppable.
  8. This might be a bit obvious but worth a try. Change the in tank hydraulic oil filter I’m not great with hydraulics big it may well be a blocked oil filter causing an increase in oil pressure then coming out of a relieve valve. When the engine is cold is the oil between the minimum and maximum levels? And have you changed or topped up the hydraulic oil recently?
  9. Got a 440 and 660 otherwise I’d consider one as my mates 461 is ace. I wish I had bought a 361 when they were out

  11. Touché. I always thought huskys to be a lesser quality saw but the newer xp models have made me think twice and given people’s responses I would be willing to try give one a proper go. 560 or 562 though? ?
  12. Yeah I’ve read quit a few things about the poor starting with the 560 which is a bit of a concern. I’m considering buying new but I’ve never really run huskys before apart from a mates 560 for a bit. My Stihl machines have always been very reliable but I’ve not heard many good reports about the 362 whereas people seem to favour the 560. But if I’m spending £650+ on a saw I want to know it’s going to last and be dependable....
  13. Ahhh okay Donald [emoji16] fair enough. So are the husky 550/560 models expected to last the same as the Stihl equivalent? Obviously with correct oils and maintenance etc. My 036 has been a great saw. 18 years old and been well used but I know I can go pick it up anytime and it will run cut and perform very well.

  15. I’m looking at replacement for my old 036. (560xpg or a 362cm vw) I’ve always been a Stihl fan but I like the look/feel of the 560xp. Why does a Stihl saw seem to fetch more money second hand than a Husky equivalent?
  16. Morning Sorry folks, I know this or similar topics have been covered time and time again but I haven’t found an exact answer... I run 100% Stihl kit on their HP super oil but a mate and I have just made a shocking purchase of a second hand 560xpg and t540 [emoji33]. But for what I’ve read and been told the Husky’s should to be run on the fully synthetic XP oil. So, do I get two types of oil and two fuel cans one for Stihl and one for Husky or would the Stihl HP ultra suit both saws or Husky XP oil for both? Ben
  17. I also found that out when I was given a radiator off a Jacobsen greens mower. Same engine, same number on the rad only 3 inches shorter than the TW

  21. Cheers for the reply. If I remember correctly our local rad company folded a few years back but I will see if there’s another one close by. I just thought there may be a known supplier of this type of radiators without an arb price tag as the Kubota engine in the 150 seems fairly common on compact tractors etc but like you said perhaps not as common as a mini [emoji16]
