  1. Exactly what I was thinking.
  2. He was carrying the saws because he was doing you a favour, therefore he had a perfectly good reason to be carrying them. As they are not prohibited items the police should have reason to suspect that he intended to use them for nefarious purposes before taking them. Where they in plain view in the car or did they have a warrant?
  3. What type of tyres do you use? Do you use dedicated off-road tyres or fit a compromise tyre such as the BFG AT? Cn you suggest a good make of winter tyres for my Defender?
  4. I've just purchased a Defender station wagon (which is nice) but it has got ridiculous wind up/down windows fitted. Can I upgrade to proper Landy sliding windows?
  5. Geordies can read? I thought they used Mackums to read out loud for them.
  6. This will make my learning of Norwegian much more fun.
  7. Are there any online cross section drawings of a Aga/Esse type range? I fancy making one for the BBQ area in my garden.
  8. Buffalo 4S fibrepile bags are worth considering for damp conditions.
  9. Nice truck, if it was LEZ compliant I'd have bit his hand off!
  10. Is the Iveco Masiff coming to the UK?
  11. Do Toyota supply any other european countries?

    Jokes???

An Englishman, Scotsman and Irishman walk into a bar, the Welshman wasn't there because he was still in New Zealand watching the rugby.
  13. It's a first generation Defender fitted with the last version of the 19J engine.
  14. It's reportedly in very good condition. It's a 2.5Tdi not a 200 otherwise I'd consider the 4K asking price. Think I'll spend 15K on a new Hilux, It'll probably work out to be the cheaper option in the long run.
  15. A friend is selling a G plate Defender, 65000 miles, raised suspension. What sort of ball park figure are we looking at?
  16. Fifty pullup challenge 200 situp challenge Fifty dip challenge 200 squat challenge Anybody fancy doing all of the above?
  17. Can do 100+ at shoulder width but fewer when I do them with a wide stance. Think I'll start the programme again but using the more difficult wide stance.
  18. 0:0 sadly. I started the 100 press up challenge last year and it's become a bit of an obsession:- http://hundredpushups.com/
  19. 8.4 on my right arm, 9.2 on the left arm.
  20. FR Jones' website suggests £500 + vat is more reasonable Stihl MS 362 chainsaw (59.0cc) | F R Jones and Son
  21. Who's Argyll, somebody you shared a cell with?
  22. I'd just had a CBS (crack, back and sack) done for the photoshoot.
  23. There's not enough strimmer action on this thread!
  24. What's the best sounding saw of all time? I liked the the sound of the little Huskys I used in the Forestry Commission back in the early 80s, any idea what the model number of those saws was, I'd guess that they were about 50cc. Bob
  25. I'd like a bigger saw than my 50cc Husky. I have a number old old ash and sycamore trees that I can use for firewood and their value as fuel given the recent (and future) rises in fuel prices means that I can justify buying a new, bigger saw. What would be a good saw for processing these big old trees? Some are over 3 feet in diameter and 40 feet tall. The saw will spend most of the time in the shed but will have to work hard when needed, I'm not too keen on these new saws with their fancy electronics. Bob n.b. I'd like a saw that sounds good too.
