  1. 12.4, but I'm only lifting my 9.5 stone I might have got to 13 but i had clean boxers on and it just wasn't worth the risk...
  2. Not keeping your eye on the climber. All sorts of injuries, verbal and physical. Caught the butt end of a maple limb with my collar bone when I wasn't looking up enough. That made me sit down for a while!
  3. Me 4, I'm hoping to practice a couple of things before the spring. Gotta break out of the ddrt/prussik rut...
  4. Unfortunately its the blame culture we live in, its always gotta be someone else's fault... Cheers, it would appear that you're time is in higher demand than mine (I have relatively few commitments outside of work) So I'll keep an eye on this thread and if you end up with some free time and do go on a climb I'll definitely pop along, see what I can learn!
  5. Hi guys, I'm a novice tree surgeon from Rugby with a little over a years part time climbing under my belt. I tend to use only ddrt with a klemheist, but have played about with vt set ups etc. I'd enjoy an opportunity to broaden my horizons in terms or technique gear etc so I'd be well up for a rec climb. In terms of gear i've got the basics, 25m rope, harness strop etc. If anythings going on i'd certainly be interested.
  6. I am 22 years old, hard working and very practical, with experience using a chainsaw on the ground. I currently have my CS30, 31, and 38 tickets, as well as PA1 + 6, Tractor operations, Brushcutters and Strimmer, and First Aid tickets. I have been working as a gardener for the last five years with plenty or practical grafting experience, as well as some volunteer forestry experience. I have a full UK driving license, clean, with 3 years no claims. I have a NVQ L3 in Horticulture. I am looking to start as a groundsworker to gain experience and hopefully progress to a competent climber. If you are looking to employ, or know of anyone who is, please PM me, or call 07724387547.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
