This is clearly aimed at taking advantage of the vulnerable folk who may be pursuing a genuine claim. Please be aware!! I have informed our local police and on Monday will be contacting Trading Standards and the local Press.

As you have the name of the boots you might try the makers website, they will probably have a section on care for their products, or maybe email the customers services dept.

Dave, that was a very thoughtful and considerate question. Thank you. I would agree with the other contributors that any risk to road users is minimal. The real 'killer' on the road for motorcyclists in particular is the build up of diesel oil at junctions, bus-stops and the like.

Sadly the problem is widespread, not just farm and agri-premisis, but even on allotments and gardens - thanks for the timely reminder, and I hope everything is sorted out for you soon. p.s. - Its always worth marking stuff with post-codes.

Larch logs of pine will smell, But the sparks will fly. Beech logs for Christmas time, Yew logs heat well. "Scotch" logs it is a crime, For anyone to sell. Birch logs will burn too fast, Chestnut scarce at all. Hawthorn logs are good to last, If you cut them in the fall. Holly logs will burn like wax, You should burn them green, Elm logs like smouldering flax, No flame to be seen. Pear logs and apple logs, They will scent your room, Cherry logs across the dogs, Smell like flowers in bloom But ash logs, all smooth and grey, Burn them green or old; Buy up all that come your way, They're worth their weight in gold.
