  3. Hi all, I am re positing the job due to time waster. Fed up working in the rat race want a change, we are looking for a live in forester / gardner / handy man to work at at our small chateau in the Loir Vally France. The ideal candidate must be confident and happy to work alone, there is no gardening team just YOU and your ipod ! 4. Sorry but that is wrong, we employ our staff via our UK company and they are seconded out to France thus the 180 days does not come in to play. I may suggest you do more research in to employment law before posting. We certainly did before we opened our centre in France. You pay tax and NI in the UK your salary is paid directly in to your UK acc. The current guy is leaving because the life is to quiet for him, hence the reason I have stated we are in a very rural location. Its fixed working week and fixed hours so your post is rather off key. If you are interested in the position please PM me and you can correspond with the current chap as he is a member of this forum.

  8. Tis the time to hunt in France, one of the joys of having your own forest.
  9. Tis the time to hunt in France ;-) One of the rewards for having your own forest yum yum
  10. We have a Kioti CL 120 with a front loader great little tractor. We use it with a 13 ton splitter but have never used it with a chipper. It comes with a 2 year warrantee. KIOTI - run ahead of the pack!
  11. In the new lads defence, directly after felling the tree he told me that there was an issue with the chain ( something to do with the rakers) and he was very unhappy with the cut. As for the gloves point taken. I think he was just a little nervous of his first day with the boss watching and videoing the fell to that end I have decided to remove the video as I am sure it does not do his work justice.
  12. First day on the job for our new forester short video of one of the trees we took down today. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em3ulZcslZc]Tree_Work.dv - YouTube[/ame]
  13. I think this guy sums it up well worth watching the video. Britain is a riot - 3 Translation(s) | dotSUB
  14. Your welcome this is the toy I am after next as my last bike was stolen two days before moving to France. I like your bike collection ;-) CB1000R | Naked | Motorcycles | Honda (UK)
  15. This may be old news but many people are still not aware that from the last budget motorcycles are no longer treated for tax purposes like cars but as plant and equipment. This has a significant effect on the amount of tax relief you can claim when you buy a motorcycle for use in your business. The rules allow bikes to be treated as plant so that, in most cases, business owners will be able to claim the whole cost against tax at their top tax rate. So you can enjoy the freedom of the open road and know that the tax man is subsidising you. The change in the law means those who pay 40% tax could save £2,728 on the cost of a new £6,821 Honda CBF1000.
  16. "16 year old girl beaten by the police" I am sure the woman should have been shouting in the video look at 16 year old looter who was giving **** to the police getting a deserved kicking ! Man of women it all comes under the same heading " Looting Scum"
  17. If I were back in the U.K and these scum came near my house I would show them how a MS660 works I would be having my own Texas chain saw massacre. I like the idea of water cannons with yellow ink ;-)
  18. Thanks for the link extremely interesting but rather long. It seems that rod harvesting is the best option it avoids the drying issue. How many hectares have you planted ?
  19. I was surprised at the lack of ppe whilst using the saw ! Not such a good example. "Art is never finished, only abandoned." Leonardo da Vinci
  20. What about using our small tractor to rotate the chips once a week, or installing a couple of PVC pipe with holes under the chips. I can then hook the pipe to our leaf blower to aerate the chips.
  21. What do you mean by store in the open ? We are intending to chip the willow and store it in a barn to dry until its needed, will it still rot if its inside ?
