  1. Damn I'm missing out on big pounds. I cleared out a load of elder the other day that was choking a stand of birch and was going to chuck it on the bonfire, I should get at least £150 in lala ebayland!
  2. Sorry to hear that mate, these lowlife scum seem to get ever busier against men who work for a living. Others who have said don't leave your kit a vehicle are right, that's where the feckers got my kit from. After that big dogs and keep the shotty loaded...
  3. Your mates best bet would be stick it on freecycle or gumtree as free firewood and she'll find some punters who'll take it in bits and bats. Pretty sure that there aren't going to be any arbtalkers filling their barns with pine from back gardens using a wheelbarrow.
  4. I'd have thunk that too if it wasn't for the requests for log tip sites and repeated PM's. Happy to take it as I'm sure you would be too but wood came there none! PS getting down to the floor here for seasoned so if it stays much colder for much longer will need to avail mesen of your services - probably only a cube or two but I've lost your number so if you could pm that would be appreciated. Cheers Andy.
  5. To clariify that was aimed at the rep of acorn environmental who have the roadside contract a the moment in sheffield and not the OP who is nothing to do with my post.
  6. Hi I'm not sure why that's funny but as an aside you have not responded to either my emails or pms which you requested. Can you make a call on the sheffield roadside trees in two days by phone/pm or not. If not I'll ask the council about it and what's going on here. Andy
  7. Worth the asking price for the "Sword cover" alone! Plus can husky boast that on their kit "handle is specially insulated vibration"? I think not!
  8. New Chain Saw 45cc two stroke 16.5" bar | eBay Even better you can bid on a faded picture of a fake piece of crap!
  9. I can't believe it's legal to use a brand name when selling a fake. To be honest I can't see how it's legal to sell this junk at all - check out thew chainbrake handle off a MS250 here versus the bent paperclip fitted to this fake rubbish here. Someones going to get badly hurt or worse using this rubbish.
  10. Would probably go along these lines. "Hi my new Stihl chainsaw isn't working, can you have a look at it?" "Sure, I think I've spotted why it isn't working" "Great, what's gone wrong?" "Well first of all the crankcase is made a blu-tac, the piston is actually a sherbert fountain, the air filter is just some fag ends celotaped together and the carburetor is a pencil sharpner. Oh and the bar and chain are made of cheese, probably tesco value cheddar by the smell of it." "Bugger."
  11. Sorry, meant the saw was fake not that particular seller was selling as anything other than fake. However they are being sold as Stihl all over - Stihl Chainsaw REP MT9999 - 20" Bar - NEW!! | eBay 80.00 – Stihl Chainsaw REP MT-9999 20″ BAR BRAND NEW | NICE CHAINSAWS Stihl chainsaw REP MT-9999 20" BAR BRAND NEW | eBay
  12. Chainsaw MT9999 in Plymouth | Other Household Goods for Sale | Gumtree.com Has to be one of the worst fakes I've seen.
  13. From my experience birch is spot on as a first few logs on after a year. No great shakes after 2 years and useless punked rubbish thereafter.
  14. As per pretty much everyone, I'd have paid the man. My customers pay me when i deliver, I pay my suppliers when they deliver, everyone's happy. Had I put myself in the embarrassing situation you put yourself in where you'd loaded the product but hadn't the tin to pay for it (which I wouldn't) I'd probably have appologised profusely and left my driving licence and watch with the guy overnight as security and returned first thing with the cash and some beer money on top for dicking him about.
