  1. Hello mate, I was in your shoes for a while and still am in a way. Most of the guys iv spoken to have said that they want someone with ariel rescue. So i went away and got CS30/31 and am now in the process of getting CS38 as well. Then try and gain some more experience as a groundie so you can learn from the experienced guys out there. Finding work at the moment isnt easy trust me but iv been told to stick at it and it will happen. Also iv been told dont try to do too much too soon. Start from the basics and work your way up. But for sure try and get CS30/31 and CS38. this will make it easier to set the ball rolling. Best of luck with the job hunt bro. Paul

  3. Hi Tristan, I think this is a great idea as im brand new to the industry and its getting very tough to find any work because everyone wants people with experience but how do i get experience if nobody gives me a chance. I have sent you an email with a few details on and also attatched a copy of my C.V. If you want anything else just let me know. Good luck with it and hope lots of people sign up. Paul
  4. Hi all. Iv been searching for a CS38 course in mid wales or surrounding areas. I live in Hay-on-Wye at the moment but dont mind travelling for a course. Iv been a rope access technician for a few years now and a climbing instructor for about 7. There are plenty of places that run them but nowhere has a course with vacancies before mid-end June this year. Does anybody here run courses? And is there any running soon within the next few weeks? Need some help with this because trying to find work without CS38 is getting really hard. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. cheers Paul

  14. Im in the same boat as you mate. Done my CS30/31 and am finding it much harder than i thought to find work. But aparently summer time isnt the best time to try and get work. We are more likely to get work in autumn/winter as thats when tree growth is at its slowest and its easier to work with. (apologies if im wrong about that but its what iv been told). Where are you based?
