  1. I'm wondering if anybody knows much about cleartrack (evl)ltd I'm thinking of going for a job with them. Does anybody work for them? What are your opinions, I personally don't know anything about them, they seem a big company with many branches throughout the country, from what I've seen on there website, cheers
  2. Just after some advice on how you guys would price to deadwood 5very mature oaks. They all had wide crowns roughly 45-60 ft, dropzones were all easy, some had more deadwood than others, from looking from ground no more than 10-15 in each tree, I reckon it would take 2 fairly decent climbers a full day to complete, sorry no pictures, would you price it as per tree or just a dayrate, un sure whats the best. And everything that is cut off is staying on site for the customer. Cheers guys
  3. Thanks but where are eagle plant based??.
  4. Hi,I know it's a big ask but does anybody know of anyone down south/west Wales who hire out 750kg chippers? Timberwolf/jensens etc. thanks in advance.
  5. Does anybody climb with the treehog 5000 harness? What are your opinions about it?
  6. Cheers guys for your replays to my post, much appreciated. I like the phrase "fourtune favours the brave".
  7. :confused1:Hi guys, don't know if this is the right place to post, but at the moment I'm employed by a large company for our area, which I've been with for the last 9years,but I'd like to start up by myself. But making that jump can be a massive risk for myself and family financially, if it doesn't work out!! I'm just a little unsure whether I can still be employed and self employed at the same time, just to see if it works out the way I'd like it to. Any advise would by much appreciated
  8. A team mate of mine turns 58 next month, he's the first one in the team to get his kit out of the van to go climbing, sometimes got to tell him let the young ones climb and have a rest instead, but it seems he just loves climbing. as I'm only a young 32 I hope I'm still at it when I reach that age too, nice one grandad!!
  9. Been using the quad 160 for about 2 years now, find it a tidy machine but has had a few issues with it, plus the trailer that comes with it is a little bit flimsy, but the idea of it is good. I use it mostly on utility work so it gets about a lot. Has had better chippers and a lot worse ones too. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
