  1. No. It's just north east of the A264 and B2195 roundabout. On the 'Old Crawley Road' road.
  2. When I look at the map (maybe only on the iphone) there is a blue icon showing the location of the tip site. If you click on that it may then show you what they accept (logs, chip) but no contact details.
  3. Several years I tipped at a small site next to a sort of lay-by which was Old Horsham Road. Does anyone know if they still take wood chip?
  4. I can't seem to find contact details for any of the listed tip sites in my area. If I click on the blue location button i get shown the address and nothing else. I have logs and clean chip near Horsham West Sussex tomorrow, Saturday 2nd. Thanks in advance. Al. 07834 414271
  5. Neither. Use a ring spanner and it stays permanently on the Mallion.
  6. This item is SOLD

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

  7. I seem to remember a forum on Arbtalk for selling stuff but now I can’t find it🤷🏻‍♂️. does anyone have a pointer? I’m selling a Transit tipper and no luck anywhere else, yet.
  8. But also it is a mulcher that I need, not a mower because the area is a load of thick brambles and weeds.
  9. Thanks mate.
  10. The job is in Horley, Surrey. Near Gatwick airport. It is two sites near each other but both can be achieved easily within a normal working day. Therefore, yes, the long travel will kill it.
  11. So the last candidate didn't show up, his loss, therefore I am still looking for a great person.
  12. I see videos all the time but no one on Arbtalk seems to know anything. ??
  13. Does anyone have or rent a mulcher? it doesn’t have to be remote controlled but access is only 160cm wide. Thanks. Al. 07834 414271
  14. AN opportunity for an Arb groundie. We are a small firm doing domestic tree work and I'm picky about commercial clients, only working on nice sites and projects. Plenty of experience will be gained on the job and plenty of opportunity for professional development, should you want it. If this appeals to you please call or message 07834 414271 or email [email protected]. Thanks Al.
  15. I used my girlfriend's 3A ascender the other day and it is great. Smoother than my home made version!
  16. Any recent updates on this? It is currently my top pick but I've only used it on a 9mm rope. Other thoughts appreciated. TIA.
  17. The BDB is the best in so many ways: All parts individually replacable. Brilliant compact design. Super strong. Quick and easy to fit onto/off rope.
  18. There is no need for the sling to be rigid. That's a personal choice thing.
  19. I've been using this exact thing for about fifteen years. Perfect.
  20. So I would be tempted by the HLA135 but it's more expensive and the dealer says its sucks the battery faster. Choices, choices!
  21. So has anyone been using the long reach trimmers for a while and what is the verdict? Inparticular the HLA 86, 66 and 56. Build quality? Design /good/flaws? Reliability? Any relevant observations are appreciated. Thanks Al.
  22. We deal with predominantly domestic Arb work in the Reigate, Surrey area and are a small friendly team. For this reason you need to be motivated to work professionally in all areas of the job. If you are a high speed hacker, don't call. The type of client base I have dictates that the work must be done properly and politely, not rushed, and therefore carries a degree of satisfaction and relaxation. If this is of interest to you and you are available, please call 07834 414271 or [email protected] (I don't monitor arbtalk often). Many thanks Al.
  23. My question is: Are there any spikes on the market that are good for very thin legs? Either with an adjustable leg cup thingy, or with additional pads for the leg thingy? TIA. Al.
  24. Hi william It’s a London plane tree. 2-3 Transit loads of wood chip. 4 loads of log wood.
  25. Does anyone know of a tip site for chip and logs near Hertford? Yes I’ve looked on the Arbtalk directory but can only find allotments but I don’t know about gate access and they sure ley won’t take log loads. TIA.
