  4. Get it checked out if it is chronic then they can operate ,I used to suffer with chronic carpel tunnel some where in the forum I posted about it ages ago ,I used to wake up with numb hand fingers tingling also pain I ended up after years of suffering going to the doctors who referred me for nerve conduction tests which proved it was carpel tunnel I was a little unsure as if the op would be of help but I am so glad I went through with it the only pain I get these days is minimal pillar pain which is a side affect of the procedure but even that feels to be improving over time my grip is as good as ever and no more numb painful tingling in the night or mornings .

    Hornets

We had hornets in our owl box last year they didn't turn up and start nesting until the end of July their nest half filled the box by the time the winter weather arrived I was a little worried they would use the box this year but it's been left they never bothered us I have had my boys running around whilst they have been flying right over us back and forth they seem to have no interest in us unlike wasps this year they are nesting in the trees somewhere near by as I spotted their air trail heading on the one direction but chose not to follow to see where exactly they were lol
  6. Thanks everyone advise is much appreciated
  7. Thank you I just don't want to mess up my pricing and do myself down I am fine with pricing the removal of everything above ground just not a clue where to start with pricing stumps the site has to be re planted by me so I want to do it properly but I don't want to be under pricing, how long would it take using a pedstrian stump grinder to take 30 of them out?
  8. I don't normally remove stumps and need some advice on pricing 30 fresh cut small conifer stumps 10-12 inch but adjacent to a wall that has signs of movement in it I am going to hire a pedestrian grinder, I know these are not great as with any hire tools but I don't think a mini digger will do the wall any favours. I have no idea what I should be charging for the removal can somebody please advise me I don't want to under-price or overprice the job can anyone advise me please. Thanks
  9. Get pigs they expose the rhizomes trample everything root it up its incredible what they do but they wont eat it as long as they get their daily feed
  10. Plant a row of pyracantha and hawthorn across that side let them hack and get spiked next time they try it your neighbours have issues by the sounds of it
  11. Yeah fair comment I am still in the saving up for one bracket atm so they can try and take one cause there wont be one for some time yet lol but thanks for pointing that out . I am in the planning stage looking at options and trying to work out if I can save enough up for one and to ensure it would be secure and what annual costs would be on top ,hence the question about would it reduce insurance if one was fitted I was going to find out how much it would add on to my policy and see what options I would have im in no position to rush out and buy one wish I was , I got done over before and refuse to buy something for some thieving git to come along and just take away from me like that when I have grafted hard to save that's why I am looking at all options and all options of making one as secure as possible if I cant tick all those boxes then I wont even contemplate getting one . Since I was targeted last time I have managed out the back of my truck and trailer its not easy but it works fine for me so investing in one again is a big deal for me, a tracker doesn't sound promising if they are easily removed which again tilts my decision in thinking should I even bother and carry on as I am and maybe just continue saving for a new truck instead and buy a small cs100 or something similar instead ,you guys seem to manage ok with the little chippers plus they have the advantage of fitting through narrow gaps. I see what you mean about the insurance if they can find a reason not to pay out I think most insurances are like that :thumbdown:but thank you for the advise anyway its always better to ask I don't really know bugger all about trackers but I know about house insurance and know certain insurance companies policies are affected by security measures so I wondered if it would be the same with a chipper . Thanks everyone for the advise
  12. I was looking at something like this seems expensive but then so is a chipper and I already lost one to thieves prevention is better than cure but seems they will take anything so im guessing at least if its fitted with a tracker there is a small chance I may get it back Battery Powered TRACKER Retrieve - Vehicle Tracking & Security Systems I too am curious why wouldn't you tell the insurance?
  13. I am looking at all security options for a chipper and want to know what's the best tracker etc to use will it bring down the insurance if one is used? do the insurance companies recommend certain ones ?
  14. I didn't realise the infection rate was so high for the UK Katie good post I am always telling people to watch out for ticks especially in bracken and long grass areas
