  1. Market force, it seems more like a cartel over here, certain things are cheaper certain things are more expensive. But there's no big difference's in day to day living.
  2. People need there head looked at simply as that, They think Ebay then it must be a bargain, A quick copy and paste to goggle and you normally find it cheaper...
  3. If stihl is as strict with there company policy's then they should be a bit stricter when it comes to pricing! There's different stihl dealers selling the same products at vast differences in price, there's the guts of £200 difference in the same saw between two dealers. Surly that can't be rite, I except certain dealers to be more competitive but to the tune of £200 it just shouldn't happen.
  4. Am sure Mr Jones will tell us, there's rule and then there rules but in cases like this there better ignored imo. I understand why there used but putting restriction on suppliers like this surely can't be good.
  5. It is down to the dealers discretion, Cathcart over her in northern Ireland will sell me a saw but am not paying £750 for the pleasure. Jonesie tells me to check the link which is no good when he won't sell me the saw (emailed two weeks ago to ask) Lets face it the way work and money is just now company's should be doing anything to get your custom, and these pointless rules only make it difficult to do business. I have family living in Scotland as that's where am from, but by the time you pay flights or a boat trip they whole thing would be a waste of time. I do the odd trip to England in the lorry so that looks like the only way, but in saying that stihl's policy is that you need to be a known customer which I am not.
  6. ANY "gas oil" you have in stock on or after Jan 1st 2011 can be used as normal, when your next reorder ask for "ULS gas oil" which will also make ALL your equipment run cleaner and start easer and have a little more power, some of us were using this >7 years ago. Run cleaner maybe, more power doubt that, unrefined derv ie red, gives more power than the forecourt stuff as there no additives and your getting pure derv. Who is going to know what fuel your using after the 1st? It's not like your running it on the road.
  7. Sorry couldn't pay that for it good luck in getting her sold.

  8. How much are you wanting for it?

  9. Yes it was fr jones I reckon if I was in England with the cash I could get one even cheaper what a nonsense the chainsaw buying thing is.
  10. Some of you are missing the point I am simply asking what names sounds good or names you wished you maybe had used. As far as the comment a good name is earned that's different altogether, thought It would fun to see what people on here would come with. But yet some again people get above there station with smart answers, try and not take yourselves to serious boys. And for all the other answers well done some cracking one's.
  11. If you where going to start a new tree surgery business what what you call it? Suggestions would be great seems alot of the good one's have been taken but am sure there is loads of good names yet to be put to use, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I was away today looking at a new stihl ms441 and quoted £750 inc vat and thats with the fuel can a few 1 shot and any sized bar up to 24". The problem is that in live in northern and dealer competition is a bit slim on the ground. I could buy the same saw in England for £520 plus the vat but with the stihls policy I can't get mail order has anybody any suggestions of what to do.
  13. Am with you lad lets not all excited over a bit of wood stealing, it never fails to amaze me how the police can use all there powers in theses cases. Just wish they could do similar when it comes to perverts and junkies, instead they will get them all the help they need at the working man's expense.

  15. Who did you order it off for it to come early? A few people i know pre ordered it and it still hasn't arrived.
  16. Zuri on the left roots on the right best of buddys!
  17. That's my big girl zuri she only turned 1 there last week. I think we should have pet section to show off our pics.
  18. Don't know if this has been posted somewhere else on here but the Stihl Timbersports world championships is on Eurosport on friday nite at 18:10 should make good viewing it's in Austria this year.
  19. I couldn't agree more with you treequip, it's the same as people buying the best gear on the market and there still a danger to themselves, there's a saying ain't there, "All the gear still no idea". We live in a world now where if you don't fork out money to qualify yourself you get nowhere. Even thou you could be handy enough with a saw.
  20. You picked me up wrong I never meant work without the tickets I was just asking how your doing now that you got them, but you answered my question thanks for well good luck anyway.
  21. Thought as much, cheers for the reply are you getting any work now that you have the "TICKETS"?
  22. I am in the middle of getting my cs30 and cs31 I live in Northern Ireland. I have done a bit of chainsaw work before, and would like to know how keen employers are about employing newly qualified people for work? I have a HGV license and have always fancied doing treework for a living. I could work anywhere as I have been used to doing that in work. I am 32 yr old and have my own transport, I would also like info on kit like what saw should I buy? New or used? And where is the best place to buy clothing etc? Your help would be appreciated in this as it's not easy cheers.
