  1. I should do! but hes learning so hopefully he won t do it again.
  2. I just brought the art ropeguide but a groundsman has cut my rope near the splice eye. I wondered if i can make a small hole in the rope to feed the the retiveal ball string in. I use the loose end as a bowline knot to connect to the harness. So the hole would not be under load. If this make sense or should i buy a new rope?
  3. I have been looking at sum 3.5 ton tippers I just wondered if any uses a ldv Maxus tipper as a tree truck? If so are they any good or would it be better to stick with a transit or daily. Cheers
  4. Scum bags. We had three track chippers nicked near there. Then a week later had four van broken into when we were on site. Everything gone.

  9. Hi everyone I have been working with my mate today. The chipper we have been using is a entec. The problem is hydraulic oil seems to be getter warmer than normal, As a result the rollers are stopping as you feed it. The only way to get the rollers working is to put it in reverse. Could anyone help please to sort the problem out. Cheers Carl
  10. Used the saw today cutting up a spruce trunk with a 16 inch bar. LOVE IT! But it seem heavier than the 440. i need to spend more time with her!

  12. I would agree with you on that one due to the 044 was 16 years old before it she jack in. Next thing a 441 was on the work bench. It looks like sthil tryed to win awards on looks. But may be wrong? So time will only tell!
  13. We got a brand new 441 has not been use yet. On the visual take on things it looks a lot bigger than the old MS440. Is it a BIG improvement than the 440 overall?

  19. Hi everyone I have been on AA risk assement course today. A big issue i was putting across was climbing was faster, better ,cheaper,more enjoyable and the right way to do tree work. Unless the tree was dead or dangerous to climb. However the fellow Arborists was mainly going for the platform. In my eyes its for people who can t climb or being lazy. I wondered what your thoughts are on this? Cheers
  20. Well that sorted, avoid the crew can then! Got to be very carefull because there is a VOSA yard near own our yard. What about a unimog can i drive one of them on 3.5 ton?
