    Why would you say pfeifferi and not applanatum? Especially for picture 2 and 4. Pic 3 looks pfeifferi to me but im just trying to learn! Cheers mate Nick

  4. HI guys, I'm currently doing the FdSc in Arb and interested in being able to be qualified to do bat surveys around trees. Does anyone know what course would be needed to be able to do this? I thought there was an arb assosiation one but cant seem to find it. Nick

  7. I will take a small sample of the bracket and as advised by Will, i shall place some underside peices under the microscope and take photos of what i see. If i am unable to gain access to the right microscope, Will has kindly ofered to take a look for me. How bigger sample should i take? Will the wound recover? (Not sure if it is annual or perrenial). Thanks

  21. I think im just being really dumb on this one , Basically im just wondering what the real perpose of the oaks male and female catikns are? Why is there a male catkin for spreading seeds in the spring when theres acorns later in the year? Thanks.

  23. Hi guys, Just womdering if anyone knows of any good webistes/ publications/ journals that show a good range of types of tree hazards? I have a FC book on tree hazard assesment and management and the evaluatoin of hazard trees in urban areas. Still not wuite what im looking for. Thanks Baxter
