  13. Why did they just delete that word?
  14. Tesco's.....All is forgiven, thought they were robbing me at £1.42.9p per litre, (Todays Prices) try bashing 6 or 7 gallon of Aspen through a week in production forestry !!!!Sounds like a load of expensive environmental crap to me. No point running saws on that wonderful stuff all day then jumping into an old diesel pick up and polluting the countryside on the way home to your eco friendly house

  19. North London, but work anywhere within reason, try to keep within a 50 mile radius though.
  20. I get 150 a day without complaint or hangers, wouldn't do it for less, better sitting watching breakfast telly than slogging it out for less. 60 a week for petrol & oil, 90 a week on diesel, saws, ppe, bars chains the list goes on. Think a hairy arsed woodcutter would stand out like a sore thumb stacking the shelves in Tescos though....:001_unsure:
  21. Yes sorry probably a little extreme........better using a breaking bar !
  22. Quick Question; Am I correct in thinking a lot of climbers / tree care companies are diversifying into commercial forestry, if so why?
  23. First thinnigs were £14.00 per tonne 10 years ago, £11.00 for second, £7.00 per metre for following the harvesters cutting the singles. Any decent cutter should be on 150.00 per day minimum what with fuel / oil / vehicle costs and of course don't forget the little incidentals like Tax & National insurance. If some parasite offers you 50 to 100 per day to an experienced cutter, you are entitled to beat them with a stick then let them cut it themselves.
  24. Cleartrak use their own boys on the books.....I think
