  1. Give me a buzz anytime 07775703017 We can swap "uncle" stories .
  2. Not particularily helpful for you, as my surveying is strictly Vet and Safety, not 5837. But for a single use licence, 500 quid doesn't appear too excessive to me. Is there an additional software maintenance charge? Have you used the 30 day demo yet? .
  3. The Ringless Honey Fungus. Importance is not entirely understood, not as pathogenic as A. mellea Here on a dead Salix alba monolith. No mushrooms in evidence prior to death, so 5 years on this is imo saprophytic.
  4. Nine months later, and owner has seen some sense. Restores my faith in the Human Race Bit of a pointless thread really. .
  5. Very impressive photo resource Mario. Is it a work in progress in relation to Id-ing them? Thanks for posting. That Gano bracket looks like a plastic shiny baseball glove .
  6. Haven't discovered any info on the strategy, will keep an eye out. Here's one I saw earlier this week next to a Sessile
  7. Could placate both camps Tony, and have a thread on bugs and fungi Back end of a female Stag beetle trying to set up residence in a Robinia via a Gano bracket
  8. Don't be fooled by the cloak that is the one way portal of computer interaction. I have not studied Fungi, but find this site affords me the platform which is helping to develope my understanding.........that and the fact that I am very fortunate to work at a site that at times is like an open 3d encyclopedia. It's all Fungi porn, my good man
  9. Have seen Glynn talk a number of times, he is one seriously enthusiastic white coat, all be it a tad intense. Haven't seen or read much on his main passion recently, that being chlorophyll fluorescence. Wonder if his research on this is making the bucks yet ?
  10. Is it possible that it was Sparassis brevipes picture on post 33 of below http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=54424#post54424 .
  11. Sorry to hear of your predicament Tim. If you haven't already, get yourself PTI'd, that plus your skills and the implications of the eventualy forthcoming 8516, I'm sure it will all be good. Best of luck. .
  12. Nice shots of the Sarcoscypha Mr Wizard. Not seen that at my site. What's the habitat like? .
  13. All good stuff Tony, cheers. To be honest I only spent a nano second having a butchers at it as it started bucketing it down. Hopefully will return to the site before the full force of fall, and look a little closer at this Tree. Stay tuned .
  14. Aesculus hippocastanum with serious leaf discolouration. Putting aside the obvious Cameraria infestation, the Tree has this condition over the entire canopy. Considered that it is possibly some sort of macro nutrient deficiency, but would have thought the veins would still be green. The Tree sits close to others in a small grove of Hc and is the only one affected Interestingly, this Tree appears to be hosting far fewer Leaf miners than it's neighbours.
  15. Amethyst deceiver No arboricultural consequences, just a little bit of nature at It's god darn pretiest http://www.first-nature.com/fungi/id_guide/tricholomataceae/laccaria_amethystea.htm Gotta get me a better Box brownie
  16. Went to a Helen Read Lecture at Temple Church last night, where a representative of the Tree Council spoke passionately about the position of the Green Monuments Campaign http://www.treecouncil.org.uk/?q=node/47 http://www.treecouncil.org.uk/?q=node/637
  17. Not particularly concerned with your scratch.........far more interested to hear what the ' other ' work was all about................ Arms running in Africa, Safety testing the Cern particle accelerator ? Just kidding about the 'scratch' hope you heal well. You're not covering up a horror coronet/fracturing slip story with current explaination, are you? .
  18. It's hooked up to a Sibtec Digital Micro Probe. The salix alba is festuned with Ganoderma and Laetiporus - iminantly due for a major haircut . .
  19. It's a Panasonic CF - 62 running Windows 95 But it does the job. .
  20. Nice pic Drew, that could be a street in London (except for the sunshine bit) .
  21. I would have put big bucks on it, that a whinging Celt would post first on this one. lol Btw, congrats on your 'big win' in Reykjavik. big yin. .
  22. Great shots TR, really enjoy seeing Tree management from around the globe. .
