i recently bought a nice 11 plate Transit crew cab tipper with 71k on it. I was lucky to buy it from an independent Transit specialist who is based 30 mins. away. I wanted the older 2.4 TDCI engine rather than the later 2.2. I was lucky to find a good one locally.

i believe some MK8 Transits really suffer with adblue issues.

yes i noticed a time lag when blipping the throttle on my old Echo 360TES, i just wind her right up. Ya get used to it.

yep my local Echo dealer messaged me to say he had a 7310sx in and i shud take it on an extended test drive.

Hi Jim, it's actually matey at Black Lake where we did that clearance job last year with the tracked chipper. He is keen to buy a chipper to tidy up the woodland but i reckon a compact tratter and a pto chipper wood be better as he cud also run a log splitter off its hydraulics. A Landy would be ok but they are only good at towing offroad and have no PTO or hydraulic services (before Khriss jumps in and says they can be fitted with a PTO shaft!)

I have a customer who has his own woodland and wants to tow a chipper behind a Landy to tidy the place up a bit. He only want a 4 inch machine though so what would ya recommend?

Those DUKW were going to be partially remanufactured here in Tiverton Devon a few years ago as my mate works for the engineering company that was involved at the time (he has just fabricated a chip box for my MK7 Transit) but the deal went sour and i think the Devon company got stung financially. I'll interrogate him some more about it this week.

my Praxis grinder is old skool and u have to engage a handbrake on one of the wheels and manually sweep the machine from left to right, it is hard work but it gets the job done. central pivot will be much better no doubt.

Anyway, my point (and that video too) is pruning - for average branches there’s barelly any difference. As for battery usage there is also a lot of saving if you dont push it into the cut - the motor control has an adaptive battery saving function and you can easily save 10-20% of energy without notably sacrificing cutting speed. Just feel the sweet spot with using the least effort.
yes it does take time to learn how to use the 2500.

i run two 2511's. 1 on an 8 inch c&b and the udder on a 10 inch c&b. I reckon 12 inch c&b will really sap the power.

Maximum cutting speed and control (“forgiveness” or “balls”) are different parameters.
Also what most of the tests do not show is cutting speeds at different thicknesses (hence what you say in your post). At the jobs for which both the 25cc saws are made (pruning) they will work like in the video.
BTW, does your 2500T come with .043 Sugihara chain/bar set? Asking for a friend
as a pruning saw the DCS2500Li is amazing. Mine came with a 10 inch Panther Chain and Bar (.43) but i prefer an 8 inch panther bar with the .43 stihl chain as it's super smooth and feels safer.

in reality the 2511 simply has much bigger balls regardless of what is on that video. I run two 2511T's and 1 DCS2500T. I love the Li climbing saw but for pruning and small'ish dismantles it's very good but when it starts to struggle the 2511T comes out and bosses the job.

yep i bought a TCF brash cart too with both set of wheels (normal width and the wider floatation type), the additional weldmesh sides and the draw bar/hitch attachment so it can be towed by a lawn tractor/quad/pickup truck etc. Tim is brilliant to deal with. I prefer the galvanised finish over regular paint or powder coat. I could have had a mate fab one up for me but i'm glad i bought the TCF as it's been well tried and tested.
