just wondering how i would cost me to get my 7.5ton licence and will that allow me to tow any wieght i want . im towing a timberwolf 150 on my tranny once i put any chip on im over the limit guessing id be looking at points/ban if im caught ?

yeh did it with my98 disco and killed it off ask the guys at base training blew so much smoke out nearly sufficated everyone at buxtons lol was planning to leave it standard apart from some m/ts if i had one

i finaly bit the bullet and swapped my 2nd 90 300tdi for a 03 tranny tipper it was uneconomical to pay someone else to pull a trailer while i had the chipper probelm is ive only got the transit (only started for my self 10 months ago) and the girlfriend isnt to happy with me turning up at her show jumping in (the scrap wagon) lol i would like another defender or td5 disco or even better a landcruiser amazon vx in silver lol but cant afford it but i like the country gentleman look of the old rangies what are they like for towing and living with in genral and how are they running on gas ?

yeh i only use it for stem work its gain for postioning your self , if you use them to lower yourself down they are crap

yeh it is its a piece of cable about a inch 1/2 long seems to hold the cam in place when its slack now it,s broke when ever the lines slack it drop back ? yes alot lol maybe just a run of bad luck took a tumble sunday sticky krab (my maintenace) to blame ,20 out of a leylandi in from of my two mates and the women of the property bet i looked so proffessional

has any one else had had the same probelm as me the wire on the cam which holds the line in place when leaning forward has broken on both of my crazy cobras found out when taking the top off a scots pine lent back after making the cut nealy turn upside down lol luck had it as id gone round the tree twice so it pinched up would have been in for a head first pole slide had i not:thumbdown:

my mate does ours cost 35 each but his vacum cost nearly a grand and he is a qualified hetas engineer seems good to me i cant do it , he has insurance and fuel to think of and he like us is never granteed work we moan about loppers and toppers bet its the same in his game

well left uni a year and a half ago after doing my degree in construction management spent my last year of uni and six months after working as a assitant site manager for petifer construction they went under a year ago i hated being in a site office all day and had worked doing grounds maintenance part time during my first years at uni done a bit of felling and deciced to become a climber sold my car to pay for the courses thinking that they would land me straight in a job lol but mid recession no one was hiring so borrowed some money brought some climbing ,lowering gear ,saws, ppe and a traileror my defender fand got me public li insurance and went out on my own with another lad with abit more experiance than me managed to save abit of money for lots of leylandis lol and brought the chipper i do the odd bit of work for local landscapers but realy want to get some more climbing work and wacth others climb and learn from a pro -
