  1. I've got a JCB 525 58 going up for sale from Monday H reg 8900hrs A real tidy machine £6950 plus vat PM me your email and send you some photos It'll be on Arbtrader when I get time
  2. Hi Freshly cut oak sleepers? What sizes and how much for large quantities Pm me if you prefer Cheers
  3. Thanks guys for taking the time to respond, had an early night so only just read them. Interesting about the ash not lasting too long, the sleepers are for going around my new house I'm building to restrain the garden height which is a couple of feet higher. All the stems are from the site so I want to try to re use them to build stuff rather than just going into my firewood business, So maybe I'll use the oak for the sleepers (cut at 10" X 5") the ash could be cut into 4" X 2" and 6" X 2" to build the summerhouse/shed Any suggestions on how to treat the oak to try and stop the black staining which I'm sure will come through the oak? Thanks in advance, I don't get chance to look on here a lot so apologies if I don't respond straight away Cheers
  4. Hi all I'm looking for a mobile mill to come to our yard near luton airport to cut around 20 large ash and oak stems into sleepers Sizes are from two - four feet diameter Large machines on site to load, turn and unload as needed Does anyone have any contacts/recommendations? Cheers
  5. Thanks but this thread is more than three years old!!
  6. He may not fetch a log..... but he's very good at splitting!!
  7. Around £20 per cube..... But being a generous chap I'll offer £25 and I'll take the lot!
  8. Hi all Is there a chipper out there that can shred wood with nails in without doing damage, I'm guessing no but thought I'd ask. It needs to be big capacity upto 50k plus vat budget. Thanks in advance
  9. I've just got one for my 6 ton hitachi, brilliant bit of kit the tines are at 3 inch intervals I've used it as both a ground rake and a riddling bucket was invaluable at both jobs. "bucketwarehouse.com" click "attachments" and the land rakes pop up:thumbup1:
  10. I've got around 20 butts mostly oak and mostly 36'' and below which I've been collecting over the last few years with a view to build a summerhouse type building in the garden. What is the largest butt the throat on your machine will take?
  11. Hi All, I'm looking for a mobile saw mill with operator in the Hertfordshire area near Luton airport. Largest butt is 42". Thanks
  12. Around 350 to 450 tons With the 2054 I can average 15 cube a day going at a sensible rate maybe upto 20 if the hardwood cord is straight and the right size. My record is 1 cube in 9 minutes! But I had sorted out the straightest 10-12 inch ash and silver birch I could find! It usually averages out at a cube every half hour including stacking the bag and loading the log deck
  13. 26k ish.... As you said looks like a great bit of kit but your getting into Binderberger money, I've got a 2054 which I think was 14-15k plus vat 2 years ago I'm not saying for a minute it's not worth it I'll be interested to see it working up close but it will have to be very impressive to warrent the extra money.
