  1. Morning all, I was fortunate enough to be able to have a short break in Tenerife just before christmas. Heres me enjoying 28c and lovely sunshine! And heres me on my first day back at work after returning to sub-zero conditions, BBRRRRRR! One evening me and my boy went to the bar whilst waiting for Mrs Jellystock to get ready ( (-| ) Sitting next to us was a guy with 2 kids who I struck up a conversation with. I explained that we were only on a 4 night break due to my main holiday to Germany on the bike, He has new Bandit and we hit it off straight away, he also used to be a MP in the navy a fews back. I asked if he'd ever applied for the civvy police after leaving the navy. He told me that he had applied to SEVEN forces and got turned down by em all! He said that he thinks his brother was the cause as he has criminal record, I told him that it was unusual to be turned down by so many forces and then he asked "Have you heard of Charles Bronson?", Heres me and charlies brother having abeer! You never know who you're talking to!! Jellystock.
  2. Funnily enough, we had to watch the opening scene of The Life of Brian (Jesus on the mount, "Blessed are the Greek?" & "Who you calling big nose?" you know the one) to Identify Public Order offences!
  3. you need 2 hands, one for the bung and one to touch their arse as they left. "Mind how you go sir"
  4. Where is the smoke coming in from? the stove itself or through the registration plate? If its the plate then re-seal it, all sealants break down in time and need re-sealing. Was it a vigorous sweeping? did you loosen the sealant? Sounds like you aint got enough air feeding the stove. what Kw is the stove? Big stove in a small room aint good as there wont be enough air to feed it. first thing I'd do after re-sealing is to fit an airbrick as close the stove as possible. Then I'd fit a spinner on the chimney pot. It should draw even through a cold chimney. I cant see how wind direction would make a difference, which ever way it blows it still does the same thing. As air passes over the pot its pressure is less than that in the chimney thus sucking the smoke out, bit like the lift of an aeroplane wing. Hope this helps. Jellystock.
  5. You try doing the job smart arse!
  6. WOW the 1st pic is amazing! Never seen anything like that. I cant work out how it came to be like that? Im Stumped!!! I'll get my coat, sorry.
  7. USED TO HAVE???? Why'dya get rid of it? I love this bike, only gave £800 for it with 19,000 miles from a family member who was the 2nd owner. Whizzed up to Newcastle last summer for a test trip with the missus and full luggage b4 our trip to Germany. She didnt miss a beat on either trip. Done quite a bit to the bike last year. 17. Hi, Forget all the above mate, I'm a brickie by trade and have suffered over the years with tennis elbow. It all came to a head last year and I was really struggling to pick up a trowel of pug. Went to my GP who is also a sports injury therapist and he told me to do the following and Ive had a whole year (nearly) pain free. Ok, stick 2 cans of beans in a carrier bag, hold the bag in the affected outstretched hand and support your elbow with the other hand. Raise your hand at the wrist joint and SLOWLY lower your hand. The lowering is the excercise not the lifting. Do this 15 times and then stretch it off (see below) Do all the above 3 times a day. Dont rush the excercising. To stretch it off do the following for a right elbow stretch, Arms out stretched place your right hand over your left, interlink your fingers with palms together push your right wrist away with your left hand for about 20 seconds. Also stick some ice on the affected elbow too. Whats happened is that your tendons have all knotted up and they simply need stretching back to where they should be, simples! Hope this all helps, it works a treat for me. Jellystock.
  18. Hi dillsue, Get yourself a large pallet (or 2) and use that as your base. Work from the base up with 3x2 uprights (or similar) and screws. Make your uprights taller one side to form a fall and plant a sheet of ply covered in mineral felt on top. Finally brace it all up to make it solid. OK, I'm a builder and had most of what I needed lying about but I'm sure you can get most of what you need for next to nothing. Failing all of the above, find someone with a pucker log store and nick it!! Jellystock.
  19. Hi again, I'm Micks younger, better looking and more intelligent brother. Dont fret about there being two of us, we got another freak of a brother 'oop north'. I'll ask him if he wants to join but at the moment he's busy cleaning out his pigeons and ironing his flat cap ready for tomorrow, big pigeon meet that he is organising. Jellystock.
  20. Hi All, I've been pressured into joining your forum by my brother mick stockbridge. Dont let that put you off though, just because he is a bi-sexual cross dresser:001_tt2: I'm not a tree surgeon, I'm a builder based in Sittingbourne Kent.(Home - midkentbuilders.co.uk) I do install log burners on behalf of Edmed Stoves and may be able to shed light on any fitting/running problems you may have. Obviously I have my own stove, a Villager Chelsea Duo which I've had since about September. Look forward to hearing from you all. Jellystock.
