  1. spotted my first mini chipper in action today, sat on back of a landscpers transit pickup, they were cutting small branches up and feeding it twigs and it was blowing chip all over the place, then all the sweeping up. maybe they were just making it look like hard work? ..fairies

  2. got YEDL to give us an 'out' for a couple of hours, broke the mewp hyraulics after we got the crown out, just stems left as wires went live and mewp was fixed, YEDL man (wearing marigolds) said it was ok as there was just over 2m between basket/stems and wires, obviously if there had been any branches left we would have had to arrange another 'out'..

  3. nice to see im not the only one who fixes engines n stuff in the house, my woman didnt think much of me lapping some valves in on the coffee table, good job she didnt find the cylinderhead in the dishwasher too.. looks like you need some rags on that job though, old t-shirts are the best, clean everything as you go..have fun:thumbup1:

  4. was a 2t copper beech stem, really nice lump, i didnt want to turn it into firewood so left it while wondering what to do with it, eventually landowner wanted it shifting so it got turned into firewood anyway. couldnt resist a piccy to haunt you with haha

  7. we hire in lights and extra cones for road closure jobs, red lights dont mean everyone stops though, must always notify highways dept at la, usually takes 2wk notice, once had to wait 10wks as there were other temporary lights nearby.. highways then inform emergency services and if possible they will use other routes,
