  1. use a second method of attaching yourself to the tree while you advance your first anchor point, that way you have your hands free and never fall. i'm guessing by your question you haven't been on a climbing course? this would be a very good idea to keep you safe. all the best. Ed.

  2. We tried to break it again but it coped. This Cedar must weigh close to 400kg.

Flipping heavy and it did start making a few interesting noises but the wood it out and away!

aww poor lad at the back looks like he's been dragging the log and his mate up a steep lawn, whens the motorised version out?

  3. had a fun little job recently where even mr rainfords pencil sharpener was too big, seven flights of uneven narrow steps, a steep gravel slope and a 2ft drop had to be negotiated. we had to dismantle the chipper into five bits to get it there! once onsite and reassembled it did a cracking job. very nice customer provided breakfast and lunch with plenty drinks and even helped move branches and split/stack logs. Rob might have pics of the chipper in bits for you all to laugh about:biggrin:

  4. everytime i wear my 'good' haix's my feet and ankles come out with red marks and a bit sore. is it possible something has sneaked in there, likes it and enjoys a free meal most days? it doesn't happen when i wear my old boots or my trainers. is there a way of fumigating them without harming my precious boots? i've been leaving them outside incase i bring beasties into the house:blushing:
