  1. mostly raw chicken carcasses for my mutts, the big dog would make the ideal stray dog though as he can knock over the wheelie bins and always find a yummy snack, the little one is finishing my pie right now ..big dog is not going to be happy when he wakes up haha

  2. well i spent almost 6hrs sewing my hiflexes instead of buying new ones, got another pair to mend now and i'll be good for another few months. best money saving tip ..regular servicing, and paying the right staff! don't waste your good money on lazy wasters who talk about the job more than doing it!

  3. i got pulled by police once for having the mutts unrestrained in the cab with me, they said i was ok if they were in the back of the truck. wasn't happy about having them in the back as just picked up a box of chicken carcasses for dogfood. dogs werent complaining!

  4. Who hasn't gone the wrong way down a one way street or tried to get on a dual carriageway the wrong way, or a left or right turn when the sign did say no turn? Give the driver a bit of leeway. His boss would not of sent him out in a high spec truck like that if he was a total idiot. Regardless of nationality we are all human. I used to drive a truck regularly for a living for a company of about 14 trucks, all British. The damage some of them made was embarassing.

On this forum its often sympathy for the poor arb guy that things didn't turn out well for and rightly so, because we realise it has its risks and errors of judgement are lifelong.. Although we should be aware of your vehicle dimensions, who can say offhand what their drive is in axle weight, gtw, length, width and height. "Hmm I think it should go through that gap" We have signs specifying these criteria.

yeah, i know what you are saying ..but given how much i laughed about them and their misfortune (the same as im sure everyone enjoys seeing me broken down at the side of the road when its all my fault) i thought sharing was caring and you guys deserved a chuckle too:thumbup1:

  5. roads are going crazy! first pic guy wedged himself with tail lift stuck on the bridge and nose on the high kerbs, lovely smell of clutch as he kept trying, ended up having to reverse back up the steep hill at morning rush hour (yesterday). 2nd pic (today) spotted this at the side of the road:lol:

  6. rip a good sized lump into a rectangular box shape with a sharp saw, maybe 2inch thick, and three inches all round bigger than the intended pics, then plunge through to make a picture hole. cut some glass to fit (ask an adult) and screw some offcuts behind to hold the glass in place. you can taper the plunge cuts to hold the glass snug too. i might have a go too!

  7. that happened to me years ago, even with draining tanks, blasting everywhere with airline and letting it dry out somewhere warm for a few days, loads of water blasted out of the exhaust when it fired up. it ran fine and is still going strong now. there was a loop in the rope and after refuelling my bro just clipped the nearly new saw into the loop, i pulled and it made it halfway up the tree before dropping into the river below and was washed over a small waterfall ..followed rapidly by my bro, its ok he can swim:thumbup:

  8. did a few days work for someone, he promised cash at the end of the job, then when we finished said because we hadn't dug the stumps out he wasn't paying! i needed the money so offered to grind them out in order to get paid, he said if i ever went on his land again i would be trespassing and he would kill me. and tree stumps are always dug out by hand! i walked away because he had my address, i never saw him without at least three of his henchmen behind him, i had no stick to hit him with because we chipped them all. another tree co later told me they heard he hit gas, electric and phone lines while removing the stumps with a jcb. doesn't quite heal the £1500 gap in my pocket

  9. was messing around with an armoured 110 a few months ago, it was destined for the rifle range to be shot to bits, had a vin plate stating 3600kg. would be fun to get some jumped up vosa oik thinking he had a bonus by weighing off 100kg heavier than what he expected and wasting his time like they waste ours!

  10. put head on pillow/ropebag/headrest/dog and wake up when alarm goes off, i sometimes have nightmares about the alarm not going off and never waking up! used to be a light sleeper ..not now! hope this helps haha, i do work pretty hard from when i wake till bedtime though

  11. fanbelt, leading to flat battery, near cooked engine, me having to dig chip because tipper is electric! went to buy new belt, reversed over a wirebrush in landycentre carpark and got a flat tyre on the chipper! now i have to change them both in the dark/rain watching out for werewolves cos its full moon!:banghead:
