fell in the river today chasing a wheelbarrow, kind of stayed there most of the day, dogs loved it, probably all got weils disease but who cares. swam out to middle of local res with the dog a couple of years ago then something big brushed past me underwater! love swimming in the little coves around scotlands west coast where you can see for miles underwater.

iv had 66,s for yrs & never had the need to tinker with them ,as they have ample power ,& you should never rev a saw on a hard serface like that as it can crack the casing!!!!!
he's right rob, you get less for them on ebay when the bottoms worn off:biggrin:

a bit of noise pollution never hurt anyone:thumbup:, but i had a vicar screaming at me (proper mad, red face and twitching) when i had been ringing up logs for a few hours in the next garden with same mod on ms460:lol:

Please stay on topic guys, wooded has volunteered his model posing techniques and you lot are discussing stumps!!!
This lad has joined up and jump in with both feet for some lumberjack banter, let's not put him off with stump criticism.
And when in the woods you fell high, flush the stump and throw in in a ditch or under brash
you what? do your cuts then roll the evidence of a bad hinge down the nearest ditch to hide it?
edit.. i take mine home so no-one sees..ever!

on bonfire night a couple of years ago, a local farmer had a big bonfire, loads of people, he slaughtered a pig and brought loads of hot grub, all served in a horsebox, icecream box for donations was full at the end of the night. everyone happy:thumbup:

I know where there is a crappy old land rover not far from you, its parked behind some terraced houses festering away.
:001_tt2:
FESTERING? or do you mean my work truck?

thats bang out of order, but i can't say i'm that surprised. i packed in the foundation degree after two years for similar reasons. just keep telling myself that college is just one way of learning, there's other ways that don't involve travelling, days off work, being lied to about money and writing essays.

saw these a bit ago, they look pretty good value, strauss kit is usually very good quality

they could do with undercutting this winter, then selling next years planting season, undercutting severs the roots that are heading for the hills and makes them easier to rootball when the time comes. (done with a machine)

just shut your eyes haha, i usually wear safety shades to look cool, i mean for extra protection behind the visor, still ended up in A+E with a splinter inside my top eyelid. its worst when the wind is swirling round, if its just one direction you can usually cut to avoid the worst coming at you.

Pear: too good to burn?
in Woodcraft Forum
Posted
dismantled a 24'' diameter pear a couple of years ago, access was so bad it had to be ringed up all the way to the stump, even more gutted when it was taken without permission along with 30t of rings by farmer who's field i was storing firewood in, didn't even get to burn one bit. moved on now but i guess you find who you can't trust when stuff like that happens
