had to move this 33' 8'' long rotten mill beam approx 160metres, 10' of it on the trailer, 20' of it in mid air and 3' on the dumper trying to keep up.

you need some greedy-sticks rover, then you can load her higher than the landy:lol:

My mates garage had an mgf in yesterday with a misfire, k-series engine, mayonnaise in dipstick tube. If the head gasket goes that easy in a light two seater.. What will happen if you put the same engine in a 5 seater 4x4 and ask it to pull a trailer? ..with no low range gears for manoeuvring. Just saying:biggrin:

On the Landy trials I go to the trophies are usually made out of k-series cylinder head bolts welded together, guess there's a lot of them about . Watch out for ird unit, they go and a lot got converted to 2wd as its cheaper than replacing the unit. On a plus note the front wings will never rust because they are plastic.

Seriously avoid like the plague. It's got a rover k-series engine that was useless in rovers and its even worse in a plastic fake Landrover that wouldn't pull skin off a rice pudding! I could go on...

They do well on the Landrover trials, good mud tyres and nothing stops them. But I would say weight pulls weight every time. Even a 750kg trailer is going to act as an anchor!

It beats walking through a drive through like I had to the other day... a nice big line of hungry motorist behind me lol

That's a cracking stump, how big was the tree before it came down?

My mate has a shop, he got a decent drystone Waller to do the counter, with a solid wood counter top and it looks cool.

All depends on if you/they have a market/use for milled poplar, I've got some poplar stems on a pile of logs ready for milling, but i can sell the planks quite easily so it's worth doing. Seen milled poplar used for pit boards with trucks driving over them, also furniture so don't be too put off.

That's sounds a bit of a spinal tap job

Ok I'll come clean, I didn't want to share the length of the 3"x2" 's, I was hoping to patent a timber length just for this then try and market them specifically for the job. You went and ruined it didn't you! Now everyone will be trying to guess the optimum length and ill be wishing I never gave my ideas away for free ...again:biggrin:

I put a wooden 3"x2" frame over my heras cages with a 2nd hand wriggly tin roof overhanging by 9", ridged along centre, it works perfectly, logs bone dry, I found tarps eventually leak or blow away. Got two wildlife cams pointing towards it as firewood disappears and I don't want to go to prison for beating the wrong thieves.

Start charging more. These customers have had it too good for too long!

What about my new stihl calendar? Should I have a flick through it now before the end?
