  1. Don't think he'd be able to sit if he brought that:lol:
  2. If you use it with a rw, its reputed to reduce the wear by half. Though that for me, would defeat the object. I love the rw with a hitch or lj, but I love the uni on it's own. You'll have to have a play on some limby trees to see what it's like in the canopy as well as ascending
  3. You lucky boy! My gransfors thrower is a thing of beauty. You still braving the cold out there mate? Hope it's all going well for you
  4. Without a doubt, had some similar thoughts myself yesterday:thumbup1: Perhaps the August bank holiday to ease the strain on the long haulers?
  5. I'm cool whenever you want to do it mate, definitely a site worth the journey Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Yep, 2'6". Hard to believe on a tree with that height. Might have some local pines to rival it, if only I can figure out who they belong to:D Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Might just be me, but it seems like its a turbo version! So quick even with minimal signal. Loving it! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Weird... Watched it on the laptop, smart vid, especially like the start. We'll have to set up a proper rig like was talked about and film a proper drop, could be epic! Nathan, please, please, please can we come back sometime soon!!!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Arrrgh! Not on mobiles:mad: Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Still worth getting excited over, probably the biggest cherry you'll ever climb mate, one to be proud of Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. In this case, once everyone was down, Nathan untied everything then came down ddrt, with a couple of changeovers. The tree was 34 odd metres so would've needed a sixty metre + rope to get a base tie in one rope. Otherwise, you could do some mallion/ring/throwline combos to retrieve a top tie in a tree such as this. There's a few ways to do it, check out the tcia srt handbook and the rw thread:thumbup: Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Sent off my form the other day, let's hope the weather's better this year! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Seems good so far:thumbup: Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Just seen this, 2 ft dbh mate, two metres would be absolutely mental for a cherry:thumbup: Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Come on, I can't stand the wait! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Fired the bigshot up and over, joined two ropes to set a base anchor, then Adam made the first ascent and set everyone else's lines tied off at the top.
  17. Sorry for the delay, I've got a couple more but something weird is going on with the files, if I can sort it out, I'll upload them as well. Most of mine are very similar to other photos added so only adding a few
  18. Awesome day lads, thanks again Nathan. Got a few pics I'll upload in the morning
  19. Quick one sent from the car on the way home. Thanks Nathan for today, was cracking!
  20. Necking a few cups of tea then I'll be on my way:D
