  1. Well I'm back on the road! I thought I'd have a punt on putting a new transponder in. Ford only, £131 plus VAT. Doesn't need coding etc, just plug in and off you go. Cheers for everyone's input.
  2. At the back of my mind i keep thinking about it being snow covered for a few days.
  3. It was filthy underthere but doesn't seem to be the issue. I think I'm going to have to try a dealer.....
  4. I'll have a look when I get back. That's bits often covered in mud and gunk so could be an issue. Do you remember if you were getting a flash code like my '12' ?
  5. Pulled the ignition covers off. Disconnect, cleaned, had a look at and reconnected firmly all the various plugs. No difference. I took off the black item, which I think is the tranceiver/part of the immo control. The fault code changes to 11 - immo control not connected. I assume this means this item is the immo control and the likely cause. I plugged in my ibc reader incase but no codes come up (no engine warning light so makes sense). Checked batteries and one was 12.6 and other 12.5 sp I don't think thats the problem.
  6. Well The battery over night made no difference. I have checked the code from the flashes and I have 12 - immo control module not working properly.
  7. How do you check the earth is good? Just that they are connected/intact?
  8. I'm near certain it is. Weird it happened just then but glad it happened back at the yard.
  9. That's bloody handy. I'll try in the morning.
  10. Been driving around all today. Stop, start, no bother at all. Just back at the yard I tried to turn it on again but it wouldn't start. Red light on the dash display flashing constant red. Got out, locked it, tried again - nothing. If I flick the key round quickly it tries to start for less than a second then stops. I'm 99% sure the immobiliser is kicking in. Tried the spare key, no change so don think it's the key. Assume it's not being read by the van. Pull the battery and left it out for tonight. Fingers crossed it'll be fine tomorrow when I plug it back in. Maybe not though.... Anyone had this? Any thoughts.
  11. Thanks. 85 is quick a big jump up size wise. ATS euro master had a set of 4, fitted, disposal of old, etc for £526 Inc VAT. But they are saying 'after Xmas sometime......'
  12. Been trying to get some (255/70/16) and my local dealer reckons there is a national backlog of BFG tyres and nothing till the new year. I always assume it's boll*cks. Anyone know of a decent supplier? Web supplier is fine.
  13. Any recommendations for companies for Jo Beau chipper blades sharpened? Got 3 sets from my m200 thay need doing. Postal ideally.
  14. Water right after planting then nothing till Spring. For heavy standards (mainly RB) we do 12 waterings as standard. More for hot periods or particular species (we often get Metasequoia glyptostroboides for example.
  15. Police said that every time it snows. I'd love to see how many people actually get ticketed. What's worse is people setting off with a tiny 'sniper hole' bit of their frosty windscreen cleared.
  16. Work is west London, home is Oxfordshire. Home has had a reasonable amount of snow. I just took the day off today rather than get involved with the chaos. It snows so rarely in the SE you might as well take the time off and enjoy it rather than fight it. Built a snow man with the little one, watched some films, had lunch out. Best Monday I've had in a long time!
  17. I've got my 900L avant bucket but the yard is totally fine. Almost disappointed!
  18. I am wondering whether it is better to buy one with rotation set up then disconnect, rather than buy without and have to add on later.
  19. Thanks. I thought BMG was a specific brand. I posted a Hywel Evans one a few posts back. I am going to have a chat. Appreciate what you say about the 'knockabout' usage but would hydraulic rotation be better if cost was less of an issue?
  20. Finally got the float valve. Now to work out how to fit it!
  21. Yeah. They do to do quite a lot of good attachments.
  22. Saw this today. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Avant-Multione-Log-Grapple-Grab-And-Rotator-Forestry-/172831003303?_mwBanner=1
