  1. Hey Scotspine. Well spotted! Yeah the sling could've been lower for that piece . As for the road, there was no damage at all, even after I missed the log pile in the first video...
  2. Hey Tommy. No worries at all. I have two separate lines (both Yale hedera). One of them has the hitch hiker and the other has the spider jack. I use the SRT setup as an access line for bigger trees but I prefer to work the canopy using Ddrt.
  3. Haha yeah, we had an avant on site which helped a lot. The tail backs during the tops a were pretty long though
  4. Great video! Looks like a nice job too.
  5. Hey people, These two Beech trees were dismantled in a day over a roundabout that we had four way traffic signals for to stop/control traffic. Will hopefully be doing some more videos in the future. Any comments/feedback are welcome! Cheers Al
  6. Cheers for the reply Darrin! I understand that if the two lines running through the ascender are both locked off in some way then if one of the cams should pop off, the other will still hold. But I was wondering if there is a likely hood that both cams could become disengaged whether it be through odd rope positioning or branches/twigs interfering? Gonna head over and check that blog post out now. Cheers.
  7. I was wondering how many people back up their hand ascenders when used for accessing the tree. I never have before, but that is because I've always had another back up in the form of a hitch climber or hitch hiker. However, I want to use a double hand ascender when foot locking and was wondering if people back them up and if so, how? Cheers!
  8. I had a look at it the other day and was wondering the same thing. Kinda hope so with it being so cheap! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

    UK Arb Industry

Would have loved to have gone but didn't hear about it in time. Only found out where it was from one of the competitors (Tom Bunday) on the Friday before, which was just too late for me. I'd love to give it a go in the future though! Just needs more promotion.
  10. I remember reading on the tree mettle nexus website that a hard seat attachment was going to be made available for the treeflex harness and by the looks of this website it's now out. Safety Technology Ltd | Arborist | Harnesses I was just wondering if anyone knows were you can get it from? I've had a scout about online but i couldn't find it anywhere. Not sure if i'll actually get it or not but just curious to check it out. Thanks!
