  17. I havent asked before because i am only just finishing the survey format:thumbup1: There is going to be so many trees to get data from but the more I do the more robust the work is, Im planning on 1000 as a minimum! hoping for 5k! The tricky bit will be getting Picus for a sample batch of around 100 trees. Make sure you get to the big old beech at Frishden if you ever get there, she is one to see, and others of special calibre close by. this is one of the most Laetiporus colonised beech groups ive encountered, and well worth visiting just to get a good feel of the difference in diffuse versus ring porus/heartwooded trees

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
