  1. Alright Folks, What do you think of this flier I'm having designed lads, I see 1 mistake already, Our website address isn't on there, And some of the wording needs altered, ie, the building services bit etc, But what about the general layout etc ? Does it need more pictures maybe ? Is our logo taking up to much space etc It's really aimed at the Decking side of the business, so do we need to say more about that... confusing or what. Cheers all. J.D
  2. I use a guy called Steve Anderson at Mono Design, I would recommend him to anyone. He does the copy and the design and is very reasonable. I have his email address and phone number if anybody wants it. J.D
  3. Too big mate, Gonna be a VW Transporter at this rate, all the others mentioned have to many horror stories attached to them.
  4. They're essentially the same as the Nissan Primastar I think, not sure on the engine and gearbox though ? I really like the look of the Nissan variant, dependant on the running gear o course..
  5. Sounds like just what I need mate, But, are these not known for dodgy gearboxes ?
  6. The Vito's are terrible for rust I agree, I wonder why though as the car side of the business seem to last for ever.
  7. Nice looking van Stephen, How much you wanting ?

    Combi Can ?

You could a told me this last week.... Just bought an Oregon can from FR jones last week, doh !
  9. I don't think you can get a whole lot in them when all the seats are in use, where am i gonna keep all me gubbins ?
  10. They're as big as a bus though Stephen, do you not have to pull a red diesel tank around behind you ? I know what your saying though about the 4k though pal, maybe I should use it as a deposit on something a good bit newer, hp aint cheap though, you can still be looking at upwards of 20 % and I don't like lining some suits pocket... Decisions decisions J.D
  11. Was hoping somebody would put me off a Disco:001_smile: They aren't any where near as practical I'm guessing, at least with a van conversion we can still get stuff in the back, and used it for work.
  12. Been looking at them for ages mate, E-bay is a no no for them, M regs etc going for £2k +
  13. Should have mentioned that I have around £4k to spend. Also the does the discovery have enough room for luggage etc when the 6 seats are in use ?
  14. Right lads, We are in need of a some larger transport, there are 6 of us in our house and only a Peugeot 306 to get us about, which is a big problem or should i say a small problem. So what does the Arb think ? Disco TD5 VW Transporter 6 seat conversion or Nissan Primastar 6 seat conversion I've hummed and arghed for weeks over this now, can't decide whats best thing to do. The vans can be used as a 2nd work van if needs be and we will get tax breaks etc if i'm right ? But the disco's look the part, but I probably won't get any tax breaks with one ? Who has what ? J.D

  16. Bit of a catch 22 with equipment of that kind, But I think its probably better to be ready instead of buying something last minute, so to speak... It was with our local Development agency and is for £1200, It has to be spent by the end of April though, so I'm scouring Ebay etc, I thought at first about getting a Box trailer, but I'm not sure now if thats practical for this kind of work, what do you think ?
  17. I haven't bought one just yet, but I'm still looking mate, I need to get the trailer first anyways, I got a grant for that so happy days.... We haven't, as yet picked up any bigger contracts, which is a wee bit of a pisser, what with all the work I have put into tenders so far this year. But I'm still gonna go ahead and buy one as something might still turn up contract wise. J.D
  18. Cheers Steve, I will have a look around see if anybody will let me borrow one for a week.
  19. Cheers men, I have a MS180 I can *cough "borrow" with a 12 inch bar, will that be too small ? What is ppe as per AFAG ? Many Thanks all
  20. Evening all, I have managed to get myself booked onto Cumbria Woodlands and Westmorland County Agricultural Society CS 30 & 31 chainsaw course and wondered what to expect and what kit will I need to take ?
  21. We have a Yell ad for our Fencing And Decking operation and we have had 1 job through it, all be it a decent earner, oh and we get loads of views to the website. Once they get to the website its up to you of course. *edit. The ad has been running since early nov.
