  1. Is any one experiencing long delays getting spares/parts from Husqvarna? What is normal lead times? I have a 560xp requiring a new piston, local dealer has had the saw about 5 weeks now and still waiting for the part.

    Probably get no more than 10 enquiries a year for splitting logs and end up doing most of them at those prices. Just adds a bit more income to the business. Last job was chainsawing and splitting about 10T mixed hard and soft wood from 6" to 24" diameter

    13T petrol road-towable splitter with one operator is £30 per hour with a minimum charge of 4 hours (£120) 8 hour day is £240 of which £140 is for the operator and £100 machine hire
  7. Thanks for the info. Have ordered vermiculite, less than half the price of the old style bricks.
  8. Has anyone used the vermiculite stove liners before? Seem to be cheaper than the original heavy ones. Any reviews appreciated

    <p>I am based just north of nantwich - about 30 mins from wrexham - and have a mixture of ash, alder, cherry, oak and eucalyptus in various sizes from 6" diameter to 18" diameter and all in various lengths/rings. You are welcome to come over and take a look. should also be getting some beech in soon as well</p>

  14. Ask around and see where other people get their logs from, and whether they are happy with what they get. Personal recommendation is best
