  1. I know what your saying John.

This is something like I have to invent something to radically change things or come up with something to change peoples lives for the good type feelings ????

    Stevie,

"He came, he tried but failed to conquer " will do just fine :laugh1:

In that case, you need a holiday and plenty of time to think

  2. Thanks for this info, ftr I cant see how on earth anyone can get anywhere near the blades. I have a long reach and there must be a further 4inches before I get anywhere near them (on M300) Has there been an incidence where someone has come into contact with the blades during the course of operation?

That modification is going to make the chipper unstable?Any comments?

  3. Had my 50th yesterday. Recovering from a weekend of drink and great party at home with family and mates. Still feel 21 years old with 29 years more experience. But will be leaving the big takedowns to my younger, more athletic climbing mates.

    Cheers!:thumbup1:

  4. Thanks for all the advice guys. The pampas grass was 100 yards from my house at a neighbours. He has a slipped disc and can't dig or pull. Quoted him £50 to do the deed. Started at 6pm and finished,at 7,30pm.

He was so impressed that he gave me £100 cash and asked me back next week to crown lift 2 silver birch trees. Great job and great advice.

Put rope round bush, cut through at root level. Then laughed for 5 minutes as I couldn't drag the sod into my trailer. He then laughed at me, cursing as I split it into bits to get into trailer then spent 40 minutes digging all the root ball out. Then said never mind about the bits, I'll clear up, you get yourself home. What a great bloke!!

  5. tie a rope around the grass ultra tight, running bowline / timber hitch style, into a big tight bundle.

cut it off at the base with the 66 (may find the odd toad or tennis ball). and stick your bundle on the back of the truck - put on bonfire at the yard.

stump grind out as best you can. alternativley use a herbicide for moncotyldons.

What an EXCELLENT bit of advice. Hitting 50 on monday and would have never thought of that!

    Cheers
