Hi 'Rover', I appreciate your comments, and could understand why you came to the logical conclusions from the facts you have at hand. Needless to say there were offers made with regards to possible assistance for recovery (i.e. we loaned a pallet truck to move chipper). However as I'm sure you would understand this all comes at a price, and we can only offer the best solution and the price. At the end of the day it is up to the customer where they spend their money, and what option they choose. I would just like to emphasis to any existing or potential customer that we will do all possible to assist our customers, but still have to work with some restrictions based on each situation. Hi All, Indeed there was a valid reason why we could not attend. The machine was on a public site (footpath I believe) and the repair necessary to get the machine moving under its own power was not feasible. Basically there was a risk of oil spillage on a public footpath, and that would be a recipe for disaster! A machine like this needs to be recovered to a more suitable location prior to draining hydraulics etc. There are better (and cheaper) alternatives to Orange Plant recovering a machine, and that's what I believe the customer ended up doing. I hope this explains the situation to anybody reading this thread as it is never Orange Plant's intention to leave a customer 'hanging out to dry'. We will always try to meet a customers requirements, but unfortunately that is not always possible. Hi, That is definetely a CH18PH, the old Timberwolf before they went Orange. That would make it at least 10 years old. If you have £4.5k to spend then why not finance a newer machine? We have lightly used 125's starting from £8200. You can by a new machine for £4.5k more that what you have been quoted. That works out £450 per year's usage, and it would then be the same age. You can re-spray a chipper for £300-£500. Just some thoughts, let me know if any of this interests you. Hi All, I think I've arrived a little late in this post to make a difference, but better late than never! We (Orange Plant) are now the importers for the Carlton range of stump grinders. As some of you have mentioned the Carlton is a very effecient stump grinder, and with the Sandvik cutting system it really stands out ahead it's competitors. A deeper sweep means less time; and you all know when it comes to grinding stumps time is money! The Carlton also has the most effective radio remote control system, and really needs to be used to appreciate this. Please not that the Cartlon is definitely not like a Bandit. The Carlton has a better build quality, and far superior hydraulics. Also the Bandit does not have the Sandvik cutting system Currently we are offering 0% finance over 2 years, with only a 10% deposit. We have most models in stock.
