  1. Well, much to my astonishment following a tip from a member of the public, lastnight my brother and I, with the aid of some friends, went and recovered his stolen Land Rover from a deep ditch in the corner of a field near South Woodham Ferrers. It was minus its truck cab & windscreen but still had pretty much all his personal stuff! Only other things gone were a rake, shovel and chip fork and his much loved box of Snap On tools! Rather unusually it had been dumped a few hundred meters from a group of "travellers", I'm surprised that they failed to notice that somebody had dumped it there!!!!! Best Wishes Mike
  2. Hi all, just a quick request and warning to others. My brothers Defender 110 hi cap was stolen lastnight from Boreham, Essex between 22:00hrs and 07:00hrs. Thankfully he keeps no tools in it overnight! Its blue with a white truckman top & fairey mechanical winch with the spare wheel on the bonnet if anyone spots it? Its not worth much but we're stuffed for work without it!!! Hope I get to catch up with the dirty thieving f@#kers! Keep your eyes on your kit guys! mike
  3. Hi Nipski, try sending a pm to Gollum on here. Top guy to deal with! Mike
  4. Just a quick note to say that the Gelert & High Gear bags are both copies of The North Face holdall. I bought a North Face when I started colledge in 2007 and its still going strong having outlasted several Gelerts that I know of! But for your price range I would suggest you google Ortlieb drybags, fantastic bits of kit & very keenly priced!
  5. Well Done for signing up Joe, you'll learn loads here! see you at the show if I don't see you before!!! Mike
  6. Too much time on your hands Mark?!?!
  7. Snorkle also provides a supply of cool air and my last insurer offered a discount for vehicles with snorkles! Doesn't make it any more attractive though
  8. :thumbup:Ex Australian Defence Force Perentie Land Rover 6X6, wide bodied, long bodied with a 3.9 Isuzu turbo diesel. just like this one, please! SASr Perentie 6x6 Afghanistan - Military Pictures - Air Force Army Navy Missiles Defense
  9. I've found the tom toms loose signal far too easily, usually just when you need them most! Have always found my Garmin more reliable. Tom Tom is slightly more user friendly IMHO
  10. Hi Rich, I chose a 441 as my first ground saw, lovely saw but you do bored of the weight quite quickly! I find the 260/261s a little underpowered for my liking, I think the 361/362s are an excellent compromise between power and weight. Just my humble opinion. All the best Mike
  11. Ditto what Dave said, glad we didn't go home at 2!!! Great to meet everyone, can't wait to do it again.
