  15. Morning, back in my own bed last night so had a cracking sleep. 10 degrees and the Doves are calling outside for another mating session! Steam clean the Robo and jeep and go and start up the machines I left in the woods last week.
  16. Morning, last day here then getting the 3.30pm ferry, home for about 10pm tonight. Have a good day!
  17. Leave landscaping firm and join a tree surgery firm! They have everything you’ll need.
  18. Old stump got brought up when tracking over the ground and broke through the crust so machine was bogged, track kept slipping when winching out, the reciprocator makita is great for cutting through dirty timber and roots that get caught up. I had a bit of dead elm break a hydraulic hose coupling the other day, cut through that too! Limp of dead ash jam against radiator, cut through that and if wire gets wrapped up or bolts bent I change blade and cut them. I have a dedicated makita box and batteries with about 6 battery powered tools , grease gun, impact socket, impact drill, grinder, saw, drill. This week I’ve broken bolts and hammers, hydraulic couplers, replaced fuel pump and sheared 4 bolts that hold head onto adapter plate! It’s a rough job in the woods! There’s a lot of FFS moments 😂
  19. Morning, all out of sink staying in a hotel this week.
  20. Morning, didn’t bother with alarm as I’m always awake before it. Woke up at 8.15am! mild here, T shirt day again.
