  1. Morning, the good weather continues. heading out with the dog a walk after being away all last week working.
  2. Morning, blue skies again here. Wee digging job today and some catching up with a mate. Enjoy
  3. Morning, another nice day here! Pottering and digging here.
  4. Late morning, I was up and out, honest! Doug I used to hate Stripping Ivy, eyes raw and coughing! Fine day here, wee favour job for a mate and just waiting to go get crunched at the Ostio.
  5. Register and you pay 20% on labour. itemise your bill. break it all down and say it’s a £10k job, realistically your labour might only be £2k. so they’ll take £400 off you.
  6. Morning, blue skies here.
  7. Morning, up and out to do a wee village favour for the community orchard. Blue skys here and getting warmer.
  8. Morning, cold yesterday and rain on and off. We had a firewood day and used the new splitter for the first time, really impressed. We’ve changed from chainsaw - log processor to now big splitter, billets and the new circular auto saw with conveyor should be here Friday. We still have some light manual handling but this should be a better way for all of us in our firewood sindicate as we are getting older. IMG_4945.mov
  9. Morning, cooler here too. Off to level off a garden after some building works then go see the lads on a job.
  10. Usually just to the side of the boom, it’s just a wee valve lever. The Yanmar are under the dead man lever on the floor under a plastic blank though just to be awkward. Dan I pinky promise I never got out the cab for slab stacking and the broken 1 was already broken.
  11. Morning, managed to sleep till after 8am this morning, like most I bet in here that is a rare thing. Drove back up the rd yesterday in 24 degrees of sunshine, it was great to feel the warmth. Lazy day here, breakfast, grass cutting, dentist then a wee Maccy D trip to Inverness with my good lady, she’s due a spoiling!
  12. Started tidying up round my mates place yesterday and this morning, and I remember my mate planting the willows thinking they’ll be a good screen.
  13. Morning, suns out!
  14. Aye I rack up the miles. Did about 1000 miles the other week. But I don’t pick conifers hedges cuttings out of flower beds or off gravel anymore so sitting in a nice Hilux looking at countryside isn’t a bad swap. Finished my cut n fill job yesterday I’ve been picking away at.
  15. Morning team, fine morning here! Blue skies and suns coming up behind the hills. Nice wee domestic job this morning then moving digger to next project. But first, breakfast!
  16. Morning, over cast here! day of digging for me or more like levelling off.
  17. Morning team! Glorious day here, putting a shed up today and generally pottering and being sidetracked
  18. Bought another 1 Doobin. I’ve 2 yards, 180 miles apart and got fed up dragging it up and down the rd. so this is the up north digger and the other 2 are Ayrshire diggers now. Arb spec = twin lines, guarding and a grab I reckon.
  19. New digger day yesterday. Off to its first job this morning.
  20. Morning, up and away early to take Robo for a service and collect a new digger. 450 miles I reckon. glorious sunshine the whole day. dry again today.
  21. Morning! glorious start here. Sunshine, early breakfast and out with the Dog!
  22. Morning folks, I braved the rain on Saturday like a proper tough tree cutter! Then drove home. A week away in a caravan with no power was the driving force to sacking off Saturday 😂. So I’ve bought an extension cable to add to my too short cable so should be warn next time. Yesterday was cracking here, dog walks and Sunday pottering. Wee bit drizzle just now but mild, off for some domestic blitzes, but first! Diner breakfast. Enjoy.
  23. Morning! Wild night of wind and rain! Couple of domestic jobs today. Breakfast then decide if it’s worth getting soaked over!
  24. Morning, cold and windy here! Feel for the new born lambs at the farm I’m staying at. Had a 5.30am- 8pm yesterday so having an easy 1 today.
