  15. hey, i just bought some samson bailout friction cord from gustharts its 7.5mm. i oringinally thought it only comes as 8mm and 10mm, was wondering is this diameter ok to use as a french prussik cord (Vt) ? the other thing where to you guys get your bailout from? king regards charlie

  18. hey guys i was wondering if anyone had any good reference to BS 5837 other than the guidlines and recommendation its all i have to pass to get my Tech Cert.
  19. we just poked around a bit!! Targets are dwellings and a road. on some of the defective branches there is some longitudinal cracks that have developed.

  22. I have no profile pitchures of the tree in question!! There is evidence that the tree has been reduced before but only to the lower lever arms. The canopy is however quite sparse!!! here is all the pitchures i have
  23. That was my first thought, however we thought it was to extensive and on many branches.
  24. i dont thinks so because it appears on the lower branches and is on several different branches!!
  25. A friend and i discovered this on a Quercus robur, dont know any of the trees history! The depression is as you can see by photo's is on the tension side of branches. The area affected is within the symplastic tissue, the wood degradation has a soft/fibrous feel. We came up with stereum canker-rot!! what do you guys think??? many thanks charlie
