  3. Hi, I was after a 4 way splitter for my Jappa 700 - it is a 2001 model. The splitter is attached by a hook at the top. Does anyone have a 2nd hand one for sale ? I have been quoted by fuelwood £277.00 Plus vat for a new one. Many thanks Matthew

  11. Sorry my fault I may not have made it clear I want the cordwood that is in 3m lenghts split, I will then put it through the Jappa as it can't take large diameters. I just want to hire someone to do it.
  12. Hi, I have a largish amount of cordwood that I need splitting, I seem to recollect a machine that cracked the cordwood, I could then processes it through my jappa 700. Does anyone have any contacts ? I am based in Nottinghamshire. Thanks Matthew

    I have noticed that one of my competitors has signed up to and become HETAS registered, is any one else a member or does any one have any thoughts about joining ?
  21. I thought I would follow up the thread I started 6 weeks ago, I am happy to report the wood when split and stored in my barn for 6 weeks has an average moisture content WHEN SPLIT of 18% . It burns really well and and more than happy to sell to my customers ! Thanks Matthew
  22. I would mix the birch with other wood, when it's split and dry it burn's very well but can burn to quickly.
  23. Thanks for the reply, I always test the logs when they have been split as this as you say gives an accurate moisture reading.
