  1. My Son is now a Professional full time climber and is in a Team where he can learn and be safe working with other climbers.Anyone on here who has children in the industry will understand how important it is that when you are not around them that someone has their back.Safety first. No compromise....I have never been more proud of him.My Grandson who is a great little tree climber too has always said how he wants to follow in our footsteps. This makes me doubly proud. But I need to move up the ladder.
  2. This is where I am truly happy. After my last adventure it left me thinking, what would be my dream position of work? And remember," good work position is everything!" So that I can really live my dream.
  3. The view from Fox tower and a brand new day! A lot cooler than yesterday which was very warm indeed.I wake very early these days. It,s my favourite time of the day.Going out with the dog now then get to the Gym before it gets to warm.
  4. Absolutely loved the 160T so I can,t wait to try this!
  5. You really couldn't,t predict my life.It is random but at the same time is following a path that is so familiar to me ....It is great to be back home in the Green City with Willow and Oscar. So much has happened since I returned from my last adventure and as usual I have lots and lots of pictures to sort through in order to set the scene.
  6. Hi Frank....So lovely to hear from you.Never been on Buttermere Beach....I installed a new sound system into my car and replaced the old C.D player with Bluetooth unit so I just use my phone to choose music but I have one C.D that I always have close to hand. You and I need to catch up soon.X
  7. Great question!!...This thread is based on one day when all I had was £1 and no work and what I did to change that and It is a continuation...There is little work where I am up North and when times are desperate I will travel and stay wherever that journey takes me.All un planned and on the spur of the moment. If I had to describe myself in one word,it would be "Exhuberant" and I look for the positive in every negative.I am the eternal optimist. If i could get full time (on the books) work in Durham i would really be living the dream but until then...this life pays my tax..insurance..fuel and food... If anyone out there has anything going in the area of Arb training message me..I,d love to hear from you so I can follow my dream.I,ll travel anywhere....
  8. Youngsters in comparison to my beloved Llangernyw Yew (4,500-5,000 years old) but wonderful trees and I had to drag myself away from them.I could have sat amongst them all day...
  9. Last time I was here was in 1996 on a college trip whilst doing my NCArb
  10. And finally I meet up with Wordsworth,s Fraternal Four (alas, only three now although the body of the forth still lies alongside it,s 1,500-2,000 year old comrades)
  11. Onwards to Seathwaite and along the beck past some old coppice
  12. And to give you some perspective...I,m 6 foot tall.
  13. I had a clear cut plan of a couple of places of interest that really inspire me and would be only an hour or so drive away from my tent so first I headed to....
  14. Thanks for the advice lads...but iam on a wind down as this my last day of a 10 day mission away from my Grandkids who I miss very much and I,all see tommorow!
